A grey skinned, fin-eared and orange horned youth may have given her cause for pause over a month ago, but now- Now…- Gods, what was that noise? That uncomfortable, keening sensation, like a claw was being dragged across her mental blackboard.
It was like looking at Ebrietas
But she was just a girl. Just a girl. She shook her head slightly, no one else was reacting, it was just her mind acting up again. Her hand was resting on the mask as she just barely caught what she was saying.
“-Mm… What..?”
An armoured digit tapped lightly against her own silver mask
“Oh.” She fell silent again as the pounding in her ears subsided. “It’s just a mask, mainly for outside.” She tapped it a little harder, so the other could hear the sound.
“…Though I’ve been thinking of getting a pretty long straw…”
She should leave the jokes at home.
Feferi watched in confusion as beaked stranger shook her head, had she asked something offensive to their culture? She grimaced at the thought, but stood steady as she awaited whatever response her query provoked.
Luckily, it seemed that the stranger was simply distracted. The troll patiently allowed them to process what she had said, relief wiping away the concerned expression she had previously shown. ‘So it was a mask!’ Her fins fluttered at the tap of the inorganic material.
“How cool! If you don’t mind my asking, is there any partacklelur reason you wear the mask?” Feferi let her excitement get the best of her, nearly forgetting all of her diplomatic manners. “I’ve just never sean any like it before!”
Oh, she almost forgot! “My name is Feferi Peixes, Abdicated Empress to be of Alternia!” The young troll clasped her hands together in a quick show of formality “But you can just skip all the formalities, Call me Feferi!”
