A Call for Submissions!
Elbow Room believes that everyone's thoughts and stories deserve to be archived in a beautiful way but especially those from the most marginalized among us. So Elbow Room's 8th quarterly zine issue will be our first exclusively edited and contributed to by People of Color.
Theme: ~Intergenerational Resilience~ Thank you to Ha Tran for submitting the fav from our poll! Please share whatever is in your heart related to this topic be that words, artwork, photos, poetry, short stories, recipes, playlists-anything we can put into a paper format really. Old stuff, new stuff, doesn't matter we'll be glad to have it! (Also feel free to go outside of the theme too)
Format Requirements: Please limit submissions to 4 pages, 5.5 x 8.5 (no spreads please). Files should be saved as .jpeg at 300 DPI or better.
ALL SUBMISSIONS CURRENTLY DUE BY NOV. 18TH
Email submissions to: [email protected] and please include a short description about yourself, as well as any questions, comments or concerns. Remember, only submissions from POC will be considered.
About Elbow Room: We're an open, socio-political arts collective based out of Richmond, VA. We seek to carve out ~and collaborate with~ spaces that prioritize POC, Queer, Non-binary and/or Trans Folx, women and anyone differently abled in any way through music, art, discussion, mutual support and the quarterly zine.
