Okay so KYOYA-CENTRIC HEADCANNONS!
1. This gem
2. He's not much of a musically inclined person. He doesn't hate music, just doesn't go out of his way to listen to it. But I feel like he'd like R&B. Most of the music he listens to is due to Cosmo putting him on to them.
3. Not a tech bro, but owns a lot of 'old' tech (if Ouran was set in the 2020s and not 2001), hand me downs from his siblings (as he's the youngest and ONLY MINOR out of him and three siblings).
But he regularly uses a flip phone though, no matter the time period Actually owns two phones; a flip that's meant for daily use that he brings everywhere, in which he only has his bodyguards, friends and family as contacts, and a smart phone for social media that he probably keeps locked in a safe. Additionally, has way too many burner accounts and MEMORIZES ALL OF THE PASSWORDS.
Consoles he probably owns: wii, n64, GameCube, Sega Saturn, 3ds, 2ds, PsVita, PsP, Xbox, PS1-4 or something
Tech he probably owns: walkman/cd player, portable dvd player, iMac g3, ipod shuffle, probably more
(again, hand me downs from his siblings who probably got it as a gift from other family members. He doesn't use it but keeps it preserved).
The one he actually uses often is the Wii, as his elder sister fuyumi sometimes comes over and makes him play cooking mama cook off with her.
4. All of the Ootori children have been trained as teens to handle liquor well enough to not get drunk easily and also to detect (to the best of their ability) spiked drinks, since they're rich and therefore need extra caution when chatting it up with others.
WANDERING ACCOUNTANT (both) HEADCANNONS!
1. Im an age regressor, actually, and therefore my sona is too. Kyoya never actually found out until he just found her acting oddly smaller than she actually is. She's speaking more softly and has a more 'rounder' lilt, as opposed to her booming voice. She mumbles and stutters more than usual and shrinks into herself. That's how Kyoya finds out. So he ended up making a regression playlist for her using some of the songs she put him on to!
2. So I'm also a tech enthusiast... Yeah you see where I'm going with this? Cosmo is enamored with his tech (oldest tech she owns is an iPod Nano 3rd Gen) ((I own one irl, from my mom hehe) and upon learning he has this many consoles she of course regularly challenges him to video games every single time she comes over without fail. Favorite games to play are Just Dance and Sonic Racing.
He does actually end up giving some of his tech to her anyway since she's more enthused by it than he is (coping).
Upon learning he has a cd player, she burns CDs for him as a gift every so often 🙂↕️
Honestly I can't think of many hcs HAHAHA When I see Kyoya headcannon lists and read them I go 'realest ever' and move on with my day

There was an experiment a professor did. I think it was pottery students. He did an experiment of “quality” vs “quantity”. One half of the class he told; you have to make as many pots as possible. Good pots, bad pots, shitty pots, whatever. The more pots you make, the higher your grade.
The other half of the class were told, “you can make only one pot”. But that pot had to be perfect. The quality had to be high; the highest quality pot would get the best mark.
But when it came to the grading, they noticed something weird.
All the best quality pots were in the ‘quantity’ group.
The guys who were literally churning out pots, trying to make as many as possible, not concentrating on the quality. But every pot they made, made them better at making pots. By the end of the month (I think it was a month) - they had some pretty awesome pots coming out, because they enjoying finding all the ways and all the things they could do to make all their pots. Where as the ‘quality’ guys had spent their time reading up on pots, and technique, and researching and planning; which was all great but they’d had no further practice at actually making pots.
The best way to get really good at something, the only way to be really good at something, is to make lots of shitty attempts at that thing several of which will fail. If all you create are perfect things then you won’t improve, because how can you improve on perfect?
