reminding me of who i am

I wonder if it’s ever crossed Italy’s mind that Germany looks similar to HRE. He shows absolutely no indication of this unless Im missing it somewhere.

Germany x Italy has been my ship since day 1 over a decade ago in 2014. And yet here we are still no confirmation about Italy’s thoughts on Germany and even though it’s almost pieced together, no explicit explanation on HRE’s relation to Germany. It’s so frustrating. Hima is such a tease. I wonder if he ever will reveal it and if he does, how he would change the dynamic between Germany and Italy?

Also think it’s kinda crazy that Germany was all in for a romantic relationship with Italy and this was just never brought up again. And Italy is never shown acknowledging that Germany was ready to pursue a relationship with him lol. Like I wanna knoooooow the aftermath.

Also, I love that Hima has to point out Germany is a virgin every chance he gets lol, first being shamed by Grandpa Rome for not having girls in his bed, and then having to admit to Austria he has absolutely no experience in the BSV strip. It’s not a lot but it’s still funny it happened at least twice.

I do think it fits his character pretty well though. Assuming he is HRE reborn, he kept his old self’s promise to Italy, that no matter how many centuries pass by he will always love him the most ❤️

That makes me think though, maybe HRE knew he would be reborn so he never said goodbye to Italy because he knew he would meet him again and was confident he would love him in that life too?

Context: Estonia talks about the weird festivals that Finland throws, and Finland's back becomes itchy from the gossip. And then Sweden puts down his book to care for his wife Finland. This is the seventh season from 2021, it seems like they're hinted to be living together in 2021? This whole scene makes it look like they’re a married couple who’s been together for a long time who’s very comfortable and loving with each other, just chilling at home with a considerate and attentive husband who wants to make sure his wife is comfortable. If his wife Finland shows even the slightest amount of discomfort, the supportive husband Sweden is there to offer his assistance. Actually it seems to be an overarching pattern for Sweden, if Finland wants something he tries his best to seek it out for him (shelter from cold, a child, more friends). Ahhh... Okay, so I haven’t seen any episodes from Beautiful World yet (as I’m waiting for the dub, which comes out this summer), but I found all these gifs…

I’ve known for a long time about the strip in the manga called “Buon San Valentino”, but I didn’t know until today that they actually made an episode about it!!!! I’m freaking out so much right now!!! Germany actually proposes to Italy in the anime!!!! I can die a very happy fangirl now. :D

You have no idea how freakin’ happy I am! (Well I guess you do if you’re a GerIta fan like me. XD) My OTP really is canon now. <3

Now after reading about the pairing on the wiki and thinking back to many moments from the first 4 seasons of the anime, I realized that it already was canon on Germany’s side, but the question is, does Italy love him in that way? It’s obvious he loves him as a friend, but many people say he’s too oblivious and may not understand the difference between romantic and friendship love. I think he does know the difference because of the gif where he tells Germany his first love was a boy.

So I think that Italy, even if he doesn’t realize it now, will at some point confess his love to Germany, and I’m really hoping that before the series ends, the two of them will be a couple! I’m waiting for that moment when they admit their feelings and kiss. *sighs dreamily*

So yeah, I'm not super sure if it's HRE or younger Germany :| It might be older!HRE frowning at Prussia and getting jealous over Feli, though.
