“My show is mainly a HEAVY METAL SHOW, with other elements of dark and heavy music, as well as horror movie scores. My main focus is all genres with in the metal territory from 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and up to now. Looking to give listeners a chance to hear artists and bands they wouldn’t normally get a chance to hear. My show is horror movie themed as well. Metal and horror music pretty much go hand and hand since I was a kid, so I wanted my show to reflect that as well. I look forward to entertaining the listeners with in your face intense HEAVY METAL AND OTHER DARK MUSIC.”
Re-built my vocal booth with an acoustic treatment package I bought recently! It’s a little less pretty than it was but good Lord does it sound tremendously better.
I now have adjustable panels with foam and a large bass trap in one corner of the booth to help balance out standing waves; they’re sound waves that can cause a tremendous amount of reverb in recordings–which is the exact problem I was having. Perfectly flat walls with acoustic foam do NOT help deaden a small space on their own I’ve discovered, hence the angled panels.
I have to say the one of the hardest parts of being a freelance VA with your own studio is tailoring your space to sound as studio quality as possible, which means learning a lot about sound engineering. Back to work now!

I declare my solidarity with Kurds everywhere, but especially in Turkey. The PKK, YPG as well as other forces fighting for liberation and against terrorism and state despotism deserve to be honored. Especially after the horrendous terror attacks in Ankara on February 17, for which Turkish prime minister Erdogan blamed the Kurds, we must stand by their side and support them.
