It’s been eight years, eight years since you debuted, even less for some. But it doesn’t matter, because you are all one and the same Super Junior to us, to me.

Someday down the road, in the future, when I tell my children stories, I’ll tell them of a group of boys who sweat blood and tears to stand on a stage. I’ll tell them of jeers that turned into cheers, a small group of blue lightsticks that turned into a sapphire blue sea overwhelming any stadium they go to. I’ll tell them of boys who became men, who wanted to be my heroes, who told me that I was their super girl and the boys who made me cry. My favourite person in the group, my favourite dance, my favourite song, my favourite concert. I’ll tell them of songs that made me cry, songs that made me scream and songs that made me get up dance until I was tired. Of the times when they were so cool and sexy or the times when they acted like dorks and I laughed so hard I cried.

I’ll tell them that someday they might find a band that might make them feel this way as well. And that I will understand. I will understand the joy, the pain, the excitement. They’ll buy the CDs, watch all the videos, wait for the concerts to pick their country. I’ll tell them that when they see their bias up close, everything up till then becomes worth it. I’ll tell them of the many friends I made in the fandom and how everyday seems brighter because Super Junior made us happy.

I’ll tell them that I will support them in liking bands. Because I understand.

I’ll tell them the story of Super Junior, because I would not be who I was without them. And I hope the story never ends.
