 ADRIAN:

Attention Everyone !
Listen to the kitty, please donât scroll Iâll make it quick.
Okay so I really donât want to annoy you guys and I normally donât do that but Iâm having an issue here. Iâve been on Tumblr for a few years now, and the platform was almost perfect to post my art: I got publicity, and people were eager to enjoy my work, butâŚthereâs decline lately, because people have stopped reblogging.
I think it came to every artistâs attention, and thereâs a significant impact. I am struggling to make my Patreon work, and struggling on Tumblr too because it seems like no one is interested in anything (except memes, but I canât blame you, my sense of humor is broken too.). Anyway, be it paranoia or bad luck, but when I put links on my art, they get less notes. Obviously I do make fanart and comics because I enjoy it enormously, but also because I like to contribute to fandoms and make people happy; so, supporting artists is a freaking neat idea!
Unfortunately, Iâm not getting the exposure I want here and thatâs a bigggg problem. Itâs frustrating too. I am still staying here (Until this website dies, but I think that God himself cannot annihilate this place.) but! I am linking my Patreon and especially my new Twitter account (which is still under construction) but where Iâll post my public art, so click there if youâre interested ! đ đ đ
Patreon
Iâm giving you a bit of background since Iâm at it. Iâve been studying english for 5 years and after getting my degree, I said to myself âHey, english is cool but art is cooler. I should give it a tryâ Â my dear mother said ânoâ and I was like âHow about i do it anywayâ because thatâs the kind of responsible person I am.
And this is how I enrolled myself in a very expensive preparatory Art school, that Iâm fully paying. Because, yeah, my very traditional Albanian parents were not really thrilled by this decision at all (Uh.) Long story short, Iâm not asking for a Paypal transaction or a gofundme page, but juuuust a tiny bit of support, so I can get pocket money from time to time would be glorious. S u p p o r t A r t i s t s. Because they spend 4, 5 to 6 hours per drawings for your fandoms, and theyâre getting paid in p e a n u t s. I apologize in advance if I seem arrogant or too forward, but things need to be said. It is hell.
So, please reblog đ Thanks for reading ! đ
Drew this for a journal in class uwu

@nerdbully how we met in a nutshell
Splatter
sorry for not posting again ;-;
we had a school fair and now we have tests to study for and thereâs like a mountain of requirements to do :(((.
i promise iâll post new drawings soon :D
change your art style if it doesnât suit your needs anymore or if it makes you feel bad or you simply want to experiment. change it even if youâve made a following, even if you think youâll lose the feedback youâve already gathered. art is personal and experimental, donât let the internet stop you from finding what art (esp your own art) means to you please + thank u
do you have any advice on balancing writing with work/school? p.s. your blog is amazing and i really appreciate the writing advice you post!
First off, I apologize for taking so long to answer! (I guess this goes to show that while Iâm good at balancing work and writing, that means my attention to my blog ends up slipping. Sometimes weâre only human and we canât keep up with all things, all the time ^^)
Balancing writing with work/school.
1. Know what you want out of your writing so you can prioritize your life.
In order to get where you want to go with your writing (no matter your schedule) you have to know what you want out of it first. Approaching writing as a hobby, as a future career, and as a current career are all going to look very different.Â
Hobby writers often prioritize wanting to write and releasing stress while writing â having inspiration and motivation is a big deal, and if youâre not in the mood then something else might come first. Writing because you wish to someday publish, but donât have it as your current, immediate goal can involve a lot of non-writing or short activities, like analyzing other books or writing drabbles or short stories. Writing because you want to be a professional, full time author in three years is strenuous and takes dedication and sacrifice, especially when your life is already overflowing with other full time responsibilities.
(You can see how I deal with this in my personal life here.)
2. Know what motivates you, and utilize it.
Do you likeâŚ
Lists?
Rewards?Â
Competitions?Â
Motivational buddies?Â
Schedules?
A specific set up or time of day?
Figure out what makes you keep working on something even when youâre tired and stressed, and youâll have the secret to living the fullest, and writing-est, life you can.
3. Take (the right kind of) breaks.
Much of the modern world, especially larger cities, has the mentality to go, go, go until everyone is so burnt out that theyâre forced to take a break or else collapse where they stand. Itâs really easy to fall into this when youâre trying to balance writing with work or school, but if you do, youâll only hurt both aspects of your life in the process.
So, schedule yourself breaks! Writing every day is good, but you know what is better? Writing five-six days a week and then taking a day or two off.
(And Iâm going to slip into some Real Talk here guys, so I apologize, but please, my friends, my buddies, my pals, binge watching/playing a show/game alone in your room while procrastinating does not count as a break!! Remember to also go watch something with your friends or family, go on a walk, do an easy craft, explore part of your neighborhood â do something that refreshes multiple parts of your being!)
Thereâs also nothing wrong with taking off weeks of writing because you have a big life event like exams or surgery or a move. Youâre not âfalling behindâ because the only one youâre competing with is you, and if you donât take off the time you need then keep your health and life intact then your writing will just suffer down the road anyway.
4. If you slip up, forgive yourself and get back on the horse.
No one can stick to their goals 100% of the time. When life or health gets in the way, and you canât work on your writing the way you had planned, take it in stride and adjust your plans so you can write again when things calm down.
