1st world problem complaint here, but I went to get some new work clothes now I am to be an office gal again, tried on a size small and large of this one skirt but neither fit, so a medium would seem like a safe bet in that scenario… of course I did not try it on as I love to tempt fate, so I got home and that didn’t fit either lmao 😭 it does fit as in it zips up and sits fine on my waist, but it’s SO short?! this trend of 90s/00s tiny skirts has gone TOO FAR, it’s literally on my arse. then I also got a really cute midi skirt, but it’s too big 🫠 I can’t decide whether to keep it, normally I like them to sit at my waist, it’s too loose there but it does fit on my hips and looks cute but I can’t tell if it looks weird because normally they’re high waisted, or are they? I don’t know. It was only £10 in the sale so I could maybe try and alter it so it fits better but I’m not confident in my sewing atm 😭 who knows!!!

I started my new job finally this week!! After a 10/10 weekend too, went wild swimming again in the peaks and it was so cold but so much fun, and I’m like ??? am I that guy now ??? (yes). anyway, it’s been soooo exhausting, but really great and it’s just everything I’ve been missing, like an interesting, active job and a really nice team hahaha and I can’t wait to get stuck in properly. the woman I was job sharing with bc she’s a lecturer as well as doing the tutor/support side has been offered another 0.5 teaching post in the department so it will just be me soon 🫠 she mentioned it might be possible for me to take up the role full time if I wanted, which would obviously be gr8, I mentioned it yesterday to my manager that I’d like to do that if the opportunity became available and he was a bit like… said that was good to know, but kept his cards close to his chest generally - I’m not sure, obviously I don’t know their plans with staffing and budgets and stuff and maybe they’d not decided yet whether to recruit to the other half or keep it as a half post for now, I’m just gonna try and be patient with that, we’ll see. overall it’s GREAT and I think if anything I’ll just be sad to spend half the week at a job I’m not bothered about but that’s better than a whole week innit lads

I went wild swimming today !! Which is insane behaviour and not something I thought I’d ever be interested in but unfortunately it was really fun and I want to go again 😭 that said I do think the only reason it was nice is because it was sunny and refreshing and the scenery was really pretty so it felt like being on holiday… if it was cold outside it would 100% feel like a punishment
