Egnazol

Introducing Unquollified! Unquollified is an indie game that I'm making. It's a 2D point-and-click murder mystery set in Australia! I'm really proud of how it's going, so if you're interested in murder mysteries, Australian animals or visual novels, take a closer look Here! The main character is Sam, who is a Quoll and a struggling artist who returns to his Australian hometown to investigate the death of his estranged childhood friend. It's a game about coming to terms with change, loss and growing up, and about making the best of what life gives you.

It's been a while since I posted here, because I've been busy working as a game artist! One of the projects I worked on just started it's kickstarter. If you like 2D metroidvanias, please have a look!

Just some exercises I did a while ago featuring eyes! Eyes are so much fun to draw and I don't know why?⁠

Here are two of several watercolour paintings I did in New Zealand. I have a few more I want to go back and finish at some point - especially some of rivers, which were amazing to me - I don’t think I’ve seen that much water in a river in my life. And they’re all like that! Amazing. The first painting is of Nugget Point, which was one of the windiest places I’ve ever been, I almost got blown out to sea. The second painting is of a Water Tower, which my mum mistook for a lighthouse. Bless her and her lighthouse obsession. It was a fancy water tower, though.

A new character to keep Tabby company, called Arin Gorm. She’s pretty rad and she will destroy you if you cross her or feed you home cooked sweets if someone crosses you.

A while ago, I went on a trip to Sydney and the south island of New Zealand, and I did a lot of art while I was there. Here are some pictures I drew of Sydney’s Chinese Friendship Garden, using Copics (the grey ones) and Watercolours (the coloured one)

More drawings from my trip to Sydney's Chinese friendship garden! Some artistic liberties taken, of course, but there were so many pretty bits of garden to draw, certainly worth the trip. Although I could have done without the giant air conditioner nearby.

This is one of the drawings I did on my recent trip! This is of the Chinese Freindship garden in Sydney - there are actually quite a few drawings of that place that I did. It's a really beautiful spot! Of course, it was a little smokey in sydney at the time.

Since I've been super busy with work and going away for a while, I haven't had much opportunity to do a lot of art, or keep my social medias up and running for that matter. But I've got some content sitting waiting to be put online, so there should be more from me in the weeks to come! Anyway, this picture is a re-draw from, hm, mid 2016? There sure is a jump in quality, though I always think there's less of a jump than there should be. 2016-17 were very productive years.

This only took me about 5-7 hours to make? so half a day. My hands were shaking the whole time either from the fact I didn't have breakfast or a demon was possessing me and making me draw this, I don't know. Yes, I'm playing off the whole thing about Angels vs Demons' dancing abilities. And interchanging the pope with the archangel Gabriel. Why does heaven have a disco? Maybe they're just trying to be hip, but are still about 20 years late? The fact that Crowley's distinguishing trait from other demons is imagination, which is very useful by the end, whereas Azirpahle's distinguishing trait from other angels is his ability to do one dance, is one of the funniest things in the show. The music is part of Pope Disco by Tim Minchin. He makes great music that I recommend, unless you're particularly religious, in which case I recommend it twice as much.
