I visited Papa Egg today and showed him Book 8! Happy father’s day to all the dads ❤️

Going to Superstore was my weekly date with dad. We would go to the store together and do our own aisle walks separately. Eventually, we would find each other somewhere, pay up, and go home. After dad passed, I couldn’t go to the same store for a while because I would get very sad thinking about him.

Dad comic is back! I feel like I just woke up in 2024 and now I must wrap up my dad book for TCAF 😱 This comic is about dad not having much appetite in his final month before he passed. Patients with kidney failure tend to feel tired and don’t eat well. Dad loved food his whole life and seeing him not being his usual self broke my heart 😢

Our good friend @eastvanner came over for drinks last night and offered to show us how to fly his drone. Then the drone went missing within minutes after being launched and we walked around in the hood like idiots hoping to find it. And we did! Oh what fun 😂

Today marks one year since Papa Egg left us. I often dream of him then wake up in tears. Life isn’t the same without dad, but he will always be a part of us and his love and memories will continue to live on. I miss you, dad. Thinking of you today ❤️

My last event of 2023 😮‍💨 will be Nikkei Craft Fair this Sat and Sun 10-5pm at @nikkeimuseum ! Come get some holiday shopping done and listen to xmas music all day long 🎄😙

Bandage nose was supposed to fly back home from Sault Ste. Marie yesterday and he texted me, saying that his plane got by lightning! He later clarified that the plane he was supposed to take got hit so he was safe. He’s coming back tonight. Wish him luck ⚡️✈️

Inktober2023 Day 31. Dad always let me have some of his wine every time we had dinner. He once told me not to drink whenever Im sad (we had a port wine that night). After my dad passed, I would get super trashed from drinking wine and cry myself to sleep thinking about him. I don’t do that anymore but dad will always be on my mind. I hope you all enjoy my dad comics and have learned a few things about my dad. I will continue and work on more comics until it’s time to publish book 8: The Papa Egg Issue ❤️

Inktober2023 Day 27. A break from dad comic! I went to the clinic today to get my covid and flu vaccines and had a conversation with a lady in the waiting room. It all started with her asking me “Do you use your phone a lot?”. We chatted about teachers and Ottawa and our short talk ended when it was her turn to get her vaccine.

Inktober2023 Day 26. I dreamed of dad the other night and he was mad at me about something. In real life, dad never liked to argue or have fights. Even if we did have fights, peace was restored quickly.
