The point of the scene is that it parallels Unmei receiving his trademark jacket as a gift from his mother. The use of CHAMP as a brand is relevent because its introduced as a trendy designer brand that the youth are going crazy for. It's the brand that Haru himself sports when he's not in his uniform or strip. Unmei lives with his single mother, so you can imagine it probably cost her a fortune to get. She buys him it anyway, however, because she wants him to feel confident after hiding away for so long and in response it's something he's very grateful to have and doesn't take off for the whole game.

Later down the line we see Haru wear an entire fit made of CHAMP. I'm p sure the context clues are that with his wealthy parents, he doesn't really NEED presents. He has everything he could ever want but not what he needs which is a solid support system. That solid support system is exactly what Unmei's jacket represents and is what gives Unmei his strength to face football head on despite his illness because before his friends, allies and rivals, all he had was his mom.

Inazuma Eleven Victory Road is about support systems. Its one of the central themes of the game. It's that even when you're feeling troubled and feel like you can't go on, if you have someone there to push you, you can do anything. It's having that system that gives Sakurazaki the strength to confront his father, gives Raika the passion to try socialising again and gives Kameo the courage to stand up to his bullies.

Haru doesn't have any of that even if his parents are trying. He has talent, nice clothes, the freedom and finance to travel halfway across the country at his own leisure, connections with some of the most prominent figures in Japan's sports scene and access to the country's best sports education for his age but he has nobody in his corner which is what makes him an amazing foil and rival to Unmei. He has everything but nothing - the world at his fingertips but no one to share it with until he meets properly Unmei. Unmei who has had everything he cared about ripped away from him but has the people in his corner to pull him out of rock bottom.

By focusing so much in Natsumi and Endou, I think its easy to fall into the trap that everyone else in Haru's life does and that's make Haru's life (his inner conflict and characterisations) all about his parents. He's more than that. He's his own interesting character and imo he's more interesting and complex than Endou Mamoru ever was. His character arc isn't spurred by their actions directly, but instead how their influence and the consequences of their influence shapes his actions.
