Shinji, who had stepped inside to get a drink, did a double-take. It took everything in his power to swallow the drink he had in his mouth and not choke or spit it out.

Gi-Giratina?! And a mewtwo?! B-But how?!

Pon: They've heard how strong you are Shin! Maybe they want to battle! They asked to see Lue and the others!

Shin: B-Battle?! Ermahem! O-Ok! I'll s-show you my team..

The trainer cracks the door open and shouts.

H-Hey guys! Come out here real quick!

Soon after a Lucario, Zoroark, Furret, Hydrapple, Clodsire, and Quaquaval come out, all of which stand flabbergasted upon noticing the pair of legends.

Phil and Okko, as well as myself, are tasked with preventing the destruction of the world. Up until now they've been living their own lives, unaware of the weight being forced upon them. But now it's time for them to know the truth and work together to change the fate of the world.

The hybrid was taken aback by the other's enthusiasm, smiling at the mewtwo before responding.

"Pocky? Do you like Pocky?" His finned tail swished behind him with an excited curiosity. "O-or, er- I am glad that your child is coming to visit you. Do you know his friend well?"

Inari blinked a couple of times before realizing she’d been asked a question.

“Oh, yes! Some of my favorite treats are pocky and mochi, which is probably why I picked those names for my children.” Inari laughed sheepishly.

“As for the second question, you must mean Ume? He and my son have been friends for a long time, well over a decade at this point.” Inari smiled fondly. “He is very much a trickster, but he has a wonderfully good heart. I consider him a sort of honorary son.”

Inari glanced around, as though looking for eavesdroppers, before whispering, “I don’t mean to change the subject but you… would not happen to have been human at one point, would you? I apologize if that’s a point of discomfort, but your aura is unusual.”
