The thing about Our Flag Means Death being surreal and feeling like almost a fever dream to me is that the society was always fed with queerbaiting in base media; whenever that was in film industry, literature or any fragment of art portrayed out to the open eye.

The lovely thing about platonic soulmates is the fact that you do not desire feelings of intimacy with one another because just being there for eachother until the day you die, as such a immerse promise, is already enough to keep them as your person.

If I were to- hypothetically speaking, write a sapphic one piece novel about women in the 80s fighting for their (woman) rights, eventually gathering up enough people to make it public, but over the course of the story one of the main characters ( a WOC woman ) getting shot by the police in the main protest and the other main character ( also a WOC woman ) ; to which they both fallen in love with another over the course of the story ; realizes they have loved too late to make it official?
