Ok I'm gonna pitch my series of novellas that I'm working on. It was all inspired by that Cate Blanchett movie where she's in armor and on a horse. I don't remember much of the plot, but I was like damn!
So my titular character is the Orlesian chevalier Aurelie de Bergerac who is serving in Ferelden during the last years of the Blessed Age- about a decade before Ferelden's independence. It's about a woman who tries to intellectualize her role in the occupation and failing as she sees horrors beyond her imagination. I'm absolutely fascinated by the Ferelden occupation. So I wanted a series of tales that show how everyone was affected across all walks of life... from de Bergerac's perspective. And she's pretty damn Orlesian (an elitist asshole who likes to stand there honestly than act).
I really hesitate to call it a romance, but the main drive of the series is her romance with a Ferleden lady knight- Ser Branwyn of the Briars.
ngl, I could not get into Stolen Throne. I read some chapters of the Masked Empire. Would love if you could give it a read. READ HERE
