wincest is not a gay ship and it is weird and even harmful to think of it that way. dean is canonically straight AND wants to fuck his brother, but their relationship is still familial/incest. and yes their dynamic is canonically heterosexual coded because dean treats sam as his wife and views their dynamic in a very traditional, patriarchal manner. and it should be acknowledged because it is the accurate depiction of their canonical dynamic. also the show writers literally called sam 'girl' and dean 'boy' when describing their relationship.
they have a toxic, codependent dynamic based on abuse and trauma bonding. what they have is rather similar to the relationship between sangwoo and yoon bum in the psychological horror killing stalking.
