Some images from a #wedding with the new Fujifil X-T3. First impressions:

a) Fast, accurate and dependable AF even in low light,

b) better battery life than the X-T2.

c) Extended grip is much deeper and easier to hold.

d) new sensor takes rich, accurate images with very nice colors (as expected).

e) Eterna color profile for video seems to fill the void I I had been looking for with the X-T2 (though I have yet to shoot a video with it).

Overall I felt very comfortable using the XT3 for professional wedding work. I plan to test the camera's amazing video specs and make another post soon.

I went to Toronto for a week during the Memorial Day holiday. I spent most of the time walking around downtown and Kensington Market, a hip and vibrant place with lots of unique shops and restaurants. All images shot with the Fujifilm XE-2S and the 18-55mm.

Once again I found myself in Oceanside CA in the middle of summer shooting SupergirlPro, a yearly surfing competition for women. All images shot with the Fujifilm X-Pro2 and XE-2S with the 16-55mm 2.8 and 55-200. I bought the 55-200mm just for the event to see how it performed and to find out if it’s a keeper. ..Long story short, it exceeded all my expectations, the lens is very sharp and colors are beautiful. A definite keeper.

President Obama has designated three desert areas in California as national monuments.

The move permanently protects “nearly 1.8 million acres of America’s public lands,” the White House says in a news release.

All three areas lie east of Los Angeles. Two of the new monuments — Castle Mountains and Mojave Trails — are near California’s border with Nevada.

And crucially, “the new monuments will link already protected lands, including Joshua Tree National Park, Mojave National Preserve, and fifteen congressionally-designated Wilderness areas, permanently protecting key wildlife corridors and providing plants and animals with the space and elevation range that they will need in order to adapt to the impacts of climate change,” the release says.
