More than a trouble maker, my favorite place in the Chateau is solitary since I spent many years down there. [She nodded her head.] I have been trying to be on my best behavior, no one has pissed me off lately so you most likely will.

“Why would you want to spend your time there?” Edward had heard of what could happen in solitary. There were a different set of rules. “Think you could keep it up for a night. I would be more than willing to reimburse them and keep you for myself.”

I am sort of a rebel. Like to be involve in fights with other slaves who piss me off. Also my very smart mouth tends to be a bad thing. But I am getting better at it, been on my best behavior.

Edward nodded his head at the brunette. “You are a trouble maker.” Her raised a brow at her. “Well then, I will get your best behavior then?” He was debating on leaving the club and taking her with him. 

Mathias nodded, amused but not surprised by the other masters reaction. He had been a serial renter for a reason, he usually killed the slaves that stayed in his presence too long, though he was not afraid to admit Calen was different. They liked to push each others buttons and boundaries but Calen knew when to stop before he ended up dead, and that kept the vampire amused.

“I like quiet, i just don’t like boring.”

Or overly submissive even if he does get in the mood for it every now and again. He was a very fickle man after all, his moods were so easily changeable that it was no wonder his slave teased him about permanent PMS.

“You will no doubt know him if you meet him, he will probably insult you, he has a very unique way with words.”

Mathias teased, watching the waitress’ ass as she left to get their drinks.

“Do you plan to stay a while? I’m hoping this isn’t a flying visit.”

Edward found himself renting here and there. He held a certain taste and would wait until they showed to rent. At time thoughts crossed his mind about claiming, but he traveled too much, and was not comfortable leaving someone at home unattended. 

“I take he is not boring,” he laughed shaking his head. He wondered if they had similar taste, his fingers tapped against the side of glass. “I wonder if I have met him already. You will have to describe him.” He was intrigued. “For now I am home. Unless business calls. How is work going for you?”

Effy’s smile brightened as he slid out of his seat and invited her to join him, easily sliding into the seat across from him and setting a glass of whiskey before him. “I happen to like whiskey and I suppose I thought you’d have just as excellent taste.” She mused. “Effy Fontaine, it’s a pleasure.” 

“I am glad we share the same taste in liquor.” He gave her a big grin and leaned forward to show that he was interested. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Effy Fontaine. What brings you here tonight?”

Galadrielle was familiar with the drink he favoured and thus when a new filled glass was placed before them, she rose hers to him. “Santé!”

Edward raised his glass, toasting with her. “Cheers.” He took a small sip from it before placing the glass down. “Do you usually come to places like this?” He gestured to the crowd. She didn’t seem like the type that would visit here frequently.

Yes, I sort of have a bad reputation in the past. [She tilted her head at the master.] Anything as long as it doesn’t involve torture, blood or something sick and twisted. What would you like, sir?

“Gratitude.” she returned, her smile carrying the same joy as her gaze. “One shall suppose curiosity could be at fault. May I be permitted to offer you a welcome back drink, Edward?”

“The pleasure is all mine.” He smiled at the woman across from him. “You are more than welcome to welcome me back.” Who was he to turn down an offer.

And trust me that you never want to taste that horrible food. Trust me on this one thing. [Hazel smiled at the master.] Its okay. You just where preoccupied. I’m Hazel Franco.

“Hazel Franco.” The name seemed vaguely familiar, but there were always too many slaves to know about. Some seemed to only last a certain amount of time. “What would you be willing to offer to get a better meal than that other master would have provided?”

Effy was happy to be out for the night, she always felt her best surrounded by other people having a good time. She had even taken the time to put on a slinky green dress and do up her hair before she had gone out. She had been sitting at the bar when she had seen the unfamiliar man walk in, watching him as he made his way to a booth and sat down. It took her only a minute longer to order two drinks and wander over to his table, flashing him a brilliant smile as he turned to look at her. “I don’t believe we’ve had the pleasure of meeting, but I’ve brought a drink in way of greetings.” She mused, waving the drink a little bit. 

“Very well sir, address me how you wish. I was born in France, yes. And I would say it’s neither good nor bad to be said to have stoicism, sir. You just have a, natural power, to your posture is all.” At the question of seeing his drawing, the human was more than willing.

“I pray that you do not feel disapproving of the rough ideas on the page next to it. Figured I would make a character based off your face.” The sketch was skilled and detailed, catching the master’s features with precision. On the other page were a few ideas. Some various officer’s attire, a few weapons, and some notes about possible color schemes.

Edward wasn’t sure how to make of the other. Bold or not, one should address one who was superior in a different manner. “I will take that compliment.” He gave a small nod. 

“Why do you think I would be disapproving?” He liked one who had a little more confidence in themselves. The master glanced over at the sketch book. “Hmm,” he was impressed. “That isn’t bad. How long have you be sketching?”
