I actually adore Corbeau, I think he adopted me at this point

And I finally caught Yveltal, and we’ve gone shopping and ate pastries together, we’re having so much fun :D

Moon wasn’t too sure how to feel about this security guard.

Before meeting them, all he knew about them was from their file ; name, their age, the amount of siblings they have (he will learn soon that they loved talking about their siblings), phone number, and the fact that they have worked for Fazbear Entertainment previously.

When he first met them, he thought that they were polite, and always smiling.

Then he observed them from afar (despite that they seemed to always know where he was ) and they were diligent on the job ; followed the rules, always on time, helping others, and upon talking to the others and what they had filled on their file; no one had a mean thing to say about them.

Freddy liked how caring they were,

Bonnie thought they were like a cat, which seemed to be a good thing,

Chica liked how grounding their presence was,

Roxanne liked that they’d praise her when they talked,

Montgomery liked that he could play fight with someone with equal strength.

Some of the younger workers, when asked, would get flustered and all blushy but say they were really pretty,

Others, generally older, would just say that they were a good kid.

Aside from Sun, they seemed to be liked by everyone. (Moon is still unsure why his counterpart cannot stand them. Even Moon had to admit that the security guard was a nice company.)

However, what irked him, was that they were always smiling. Always controlled. It was so hard to read them, even scanning rarely did anything to tell what they were feeling- aside from the usual exhaustion, pneumonia and anomaly detected due to their muscle hypertrophia- or what they could be thinking.

Even when Sun would be, to be frank, absolutely horrid with them (as much as he could, censors aside), they would simply smile and nod along, not answering, not showing any signs of anger, just… Calm.

Even when called creepy by some workers, they would just continue walking as if nothing happened.

Now that he thinks about it, when no one is watching (aside from Moon, he’s good at sneaking around), they always looked a bit sad- even when they had not stopped smiling- , before bouncing back to their calm and usual happy self.

All in all : They were uncannily perfect.

And if Moon has learned one thing from his rather short existence until now ; is that no humans ever is perfect.

But, they were polite and didn’t treat him like just a pile of metal, striking up conversations with him whenever they were on watch together, so, in the lunar daycare attendant’s book, they were good. Sad that they were banned from the daycare though. Again, he didn’t understand why Sun banned them from the daycare, they never broke any rules, so they were not a rule-breaker and shouldn’t be banned. Perhaps due to their lack of response to Sun’s sarcasm ? But then again, he wouldn’t stoop that low, so it was still a mystery for Moon.

However, something has changed their perception of them.

The first red flag of that night was that the night guard didn’t greet him with : “It’s calm tonight, isn’t it ?” Which they have always done.

But not tonight.

They had looked stiff, smile tight, Moon could see the way their hand trembled ever so slightly when resting on any kinds of railings, and when he scanned them- as discreetly as he could- all the information he got back was that they ‘seemed overwhelmed’, not too different from the constant ‘exhausted’ he’d always got back.

Whatever that meant.

If Moon had to be honest, he did kind of suspect they were one the spectrum, so perhaps they were just over stimulated and needed somewhere calm (Nothing was written in their file about how to handle this kind of behavior from them. They didn’t even have an emergency contact.), with less light while also it being secure so they could rest for a while. (Yes he is part of the security program, but he is above all else the nap time daycare attendant, rest is very important.)

And so, he let them check on the utility tunnels while he checked out the Fazcade- they seemed to dislike this part of the Plex, which he found odd considering that the DJ didn’t even seem to mind them all that much.

With his scans and heat detectors, he was quick to finish checking this section, finding nothing amiss, and flew- thanks to his cable- towards the Atrium.

The hourly recharge was currently underway, and little light was on, only the neons illuminated the place as they were not connected to the lighting system. (It didn’t bother Moon much, yes he was sensitive to the light when in his security mode, but the neons didn’t bother him.)

According to the security guard’s fazwatch’s location they should have been around here somewhere…

Thanks to the heat detector the moon animatronic had, he quickly noticed the human near one of the walls.

They seemed to have worsened in condition, he noted. He just didn’t know how bad it was until he got closer to them.

They were stumbling, using the wall as support, legs shaking, as if they were struggling to stay up. He got down, bells ringing and on his way to notify them of his presence.

But as he got close enough, their legs gave out under them, then choking out as they gripped their shirt, as if their chest was hurting them.

His sensors picked on the way they were gasping for air. As if they were short on breath. Although they showed no sign of exertion. Soon he could pick up the wheezes and the soft sobs coming from them.

…Scanner in motion.

Scanner complete.

Heart rate- high.

Subject is exhausted.

Subject is dehydrated.

Anomaly detected on right lung.

Anomaly detected on heart rate.

ERROR.

This did not help him. When he tried to press his scanner on the “anomaly on lung”, nothing came back. It was far too vague. But the way they sounded was as if they were choking. Something is wrong with their lung, his scan would normally tell him what it was so he could help. But it seemed to have stopped working.

“Moonlight..” The lunar animatronic softly called out, kneeling in front of them. He could only hope that he could get them to talk, to tell him what exactly was wrong with their lung, so he could help. Their file said nothing about any lung issues. “Moonlight.” He called out again as he didn’t get a reaction. He reached out to them, hand on their face, scanning it, a shorter one. They were pale. BPM of 153. Shortness of breath. Lung issues. And he was once again stuck. He would normally be offered a diagnosis.

Their young face was drenched in tears, body shaking and still wheezing and gasping for air, but the look in their eyes seemed so far away, and yet so scared.

“Miyuki.” He called out their name, trying to coax a reaction from them, anything.

He was getting desperate.

But nothing had seemed to work, they looked a lot more sick now, covering their mouth with their hand as they choked on air, tears continuing to stream down their face.

He had to help, and he had enough knowledge about humans to try and do something.

Gently, oh so gently, he reached a hand and rested it on their back (Moon had never properly registered until now how small they really were. They usually held themselves tall and proud, never this small, never this defenseless).

“Moonlight..” He tried again. “Are you alright ? What do you need ?” He asked, voice at a lower volume as to not hurt them any more than they already are.

He didn’t get an answer, he expected this. However he didn’t expect the guard to fall forward on one of his knees.

It did startle him, but he did not move, did not jerk away, just kept a hand on their back, rubbing it, making sure they were secure.

They were still crying, still wheezing for air, still shaking, but at least they had moved.

Eventually, their cries and sobs turned into sniffling, until they were completely silent. They had fallen asleep.

The animatronic waited a few more minutes, making sure they would not wake up, before hoisting them up in his arms, their head resting on their shoulder.

He remembers them mentioning that they did not like being in high places (which he wrote down in their file) but to get to the daycare, flying would be much faster.

Would Sun be upset at him ? Yes.

Did he care at the moment ? Not so much.

“Moon.”

“Hmm ?”

“What do you have there ?”

“A security guard.” Moon would have smirked at his counterpart if he could.

Sun looked so mad..~

“Moon. You know they are so banned from the daycare.” The sunny attendant scowled, arms crossed, glaring at the person the lunar attendant was holding.

“Sunny, they’re asleep.” He pointed out in a matter of fact tone with a movement of the head. “They’re not going to do anything.” He playfully added.

He could do this all day. Or night, rather.

“So what ? Banned is banned.”

“I am also a daycare attendant. I believe I have a say in this.” He waved a finger around, keeping the human in his other arm. “And I say that this situation calls for an exception.” He won’t go after Sun’s rule, because Sun likes having control, but Moon will put his foot down, and this situation is particular.

Sun grumbled something, and Moon knew he had won.

And with that, he called his cable.

“Moon. Do not.” Sun warned.

“Oups~” And just like that he was up, ignoring the angry cries of his counterpart.

He had better to do anyway.

Moon is aware that the space above the daycare wasn’t the cleanest. Or the most well organized. Or sanitary. Or even remotely nice. Fazbear entertainment didn’t care about them so that explains it.

But this will have to do for tonight.

Despite the weight in his arm, Moon found it easy to gather around materials ; a few blankets and pillows alongside a few plushies, placing them in a dark corner so the light wouldn’t disrupt their sleep, and tucked them in.

They curled up in the blanket, clutching it. And in their sleep they weren’t smiling.

Moon laid down besides them. He had access to the cameras, he can see what is happening in the pizzaplex at all times. He’ll have to falsify that Miyuki was with him patrolling all night so they don’t get in trouble.

It’s fine. It’s easy enough.

Gently petting their back, Moon would have smiled wider if possible when they froze and then relaxed in his touch soon after.

Still don’t have a name for her yet, but I really want her to have a cute romance with Miyuki, like office romance but instead they’re security guards lmao
