Also there's the issue of Primus "taking his best friend from him" and turning him into a Prime, the "enemy" in basic terms for Megatron. It's more sad than anything considering in most continuities these two grew old, literally OLD even for cybertronian terms, without ever finding any sort of closure to the whole deal.
