Is anybody ok with my muse mentioning your muse in a thread they have with somebody else?
YESSSSSSSSSSSS.
this is a pretty big issue for me actually.
and not just because it’s really amazing to see what other muses say, think and feel about your muse when they’re not around but because I WANT SOME CONTINUITY. i am trying to create a continuity for my character where everything that isn’t an AU has feelings and actions making sense depending on a timeline and people they know and love. actions have consequences. relationships and events change people.
roleplay without that is… well, repetitive… & not very fulfilling to me.
”If I were an annoying journalist, I would use those words for a headline.” Bittersweet sounding words slipped out of his mouth as soon as he had a quick glance at the situtation. Tobias had traveled from Manchester to attend to this fancy event, even if it was not much of his taste. He didn’t come from a very wealthy family, but ever since he had moved to Europe he had gotten some knockledge of etiquette for this sort of occations. Maybe the way he got in wasn’t with a real invitation, but how he managed to sneak in wasn’t the case right now. “I hope I’m not disturbing you or anything, but could I have a smoke?” Now intrigued, wondering why was this girl who seemed to be part of the important families, standing alone outside.
She raised a brow at his comment before she just shrugged it off. Ronnie couldn’t have cared less even if she tried. Once she finally got a decent look at the guy, she didn’t recognize him and knew he wasn’t from around town. Usually at these events she would at least have her best friend to suffer through it with, but since they were sick she was forced to go solo this time. So she figured some company was better than nothing. “I guess. You can’t be any worse than being in there, ” she nodded her head towards the door that was cracked slightly open. Taking a hit from the joint, she sighed in relief and blew out the smoke from her mouth before she held out the joint for him to take, “What are you doing here anyway?”
Tobias half expecting to be blown off, wasn't disappointed in her complying. He took the joint and took out a lighter from his coat, clearly taking his time in lighting it. "Came here to study the capitalists and their way of socializing. It's fascinating." Chuckling at his own sounding sarcasm. He blew out the smoke he inhaled from the joint before questioning, "why are you out here in the cold? It's November, it's freezing." Stating the obvious, he just wanted to hear her reply. He theorized she was part of a rich family, but was bored of the fancy, chatty men and women from the inside, or she could have any other reason, but her clothes were a dead giveaway.
❝ ——— Noelle put down her paint brush as a knock on the door took her attention away from her newest painting. She opened the door to her apartment and her heart stopped at the sight of the figure in front of her. “Wha–” she started, shaking her head slowly, “what the hell are you doing here?”
Standing tall at the entrance of the apartment, not ashamed to say with a smirk, “I thought it would be fascinating to have a family reunion.” Desmond didn’t feel not even a tingle of regret for being how he is. Not even with knowing the fact that he could’ve ruined this girl’s future, because it never bothered or disrupted his high school life. “Am I interrupting something?
Another holiday season meant another year of being forced to attend charity events and galas every other weekend. Which Ronnie had no interest in being at. Although she came from a wealthy family herself, one thing she couldn’t stand was having to fake being a perfect family in a room full of dull, old rich people. It wasn’t even half way through the night before she had enough and slipped out the back door. Taking out a joint and lighter from her Chanel purse, she leaned against the building carefully as to not ruin her designer gown. Ronnie could see her breath in the chilly air but it felt nice after being in that large stuffy room earlier. She hadn’t been paying attention when someone approached her and made her jump slightly. “Holy fuck, don’t sneak up on me like that,” she hissed with a roll of her eyes before even looking to them.

"hello..., I don’t think we’ve met before, I’m Alexis Amberwood. and I guess you’ll be the one I’ll be interviewing, right?” alexis glanced from the office’s window to the door, to see who she’s about to become acquaintance with. “I am the current substitute of the last reporter..., we could get through this quicker if you could help me out with some pre questions...like, what’s your name?”

"Ashamed? Don’t be! Some people read, some people don’t, it’s not a big deal." She smiled at him, a great big smile that took up at least half of her face. "I’d love to show you where I work, oh I think you’d love it, even if you don’t read. Carolina plays jazz music and Fay serves coffee and drinks to people, free of charge, and there’s this amazing fireplace in front of the most comfy couch you could think of. It’s the perfect make shift bed, I’ve used it multiple times so trust me." The good part about right now was that she was comfortable enough with Sawyer that she could just blab away, the bad part was that she’d was probably going to accidentally drop hints on things she didn’t want him to know about. Things like her sleeping in the park; that being the main one.
"Uhm after, I, uh, I…. go to bed." She cleared her throat awkwardly. That was technically true, it just say where she went to bed. Now it was time for her to quickly change the subject, "If you don’t read, what do you like to do with your spare time?" She wanted to learn everything about him, from what his family life was like to the small details of the way he crosses his feet. She wanted to learn to read his facial expressions like a book. Reaching across the table, she placed her hand on top of his, nudging his hand until she managed to get a grip on it. It had been a lot less awkward than she’d thought it would have been, "Sorry, I just wanted to do this." Two birds with one stone, she was able to hold his hand and hopefully the subject was changed.
Her smile remained, as she changed from glancing at their hands to glancing at his incredible face. It was like he was sculpted by the most amazing sculptor, who took their time in every facet of his wonderful features. She found herself easily get lost in his eyes, forgetting the troubles of her life and the uncertainties in her mind. Maybe he liked her, maybe he didn’t, but she knew that she liked him and she wanted to revel in that feeling. In feeling something.
Sawyer listened with a relieved smiled as she had said it was no big deal, he was grateful, but now he felt like there was a need to start reading, just so he could get closer to her by some sort of mutual liking. Everything strangely sounded like some kind of bittersweet life for Carolina, sometimes she spoke ever so fondly of her job and reading, but then... There was some scraps of information he had caught on, such as roaming around two am in the morning, being in the cold, being ignored as it seemed on first meeting her, reading in a park til so late, being found by her boss in some sort of way/state she didn't mention in, and as now he just heard, sleeping where she worked. He didn't want to call her out for that, and tell her what she should do, but he felt attached and in need of helping her. Now he just felt powerless because he didn't know how much she trusted him or how she looked at him like. He tilted his head a bit as she had changed the topic right after mentioning where she slept, you could see the worry that dwelt within him, his eyes wouldn't leave her for even a split of a second. " My spare time? I... Don't do much, I think laze around in my house, play video games, internet.. Though at times I go out, I really like the nature. "Maybe he wasn't saying much because he was still concerned, but that was quickly forgotten for a moment when she took his hand. He was wearing that usual worried but it changed to a surprised but friendly look that changed onto a quite happy soft smile that tugged on his lips, " I would be lying if I said I didn't. " He chuckled and kept the smile he had, now he could think that she didn't think so lowly of him. He squeezed her hand just a tiny bit as in a reassuring way, like he agreed, he agreed of this. He did feel attracted towards her, the was something about Folly that got him hooked. Was it the way she smiled? Her ever so easily to daze off eyes? Maybe her humor or how she could easily laugh with him? Her passion for books? The small background he knew of her? He couldn't lay his finger on what it was, but he just knew it was Her. Now he it was alright for him to admit that he was maybe just dying to get to kiss her tonight, maybe even invite her over to his place so she wouldn't need to wander in the dark or a bookstore. He didn't want to lose her, it would be too much punishment to have to say goodbye so soon.
"If you don’t give a damn what people think of you; you don’t have to run from anything."
william chapman (via williamchapmanwritings)
A smile was permanently etched into her features, a smile purely meant only for him. She’d hadn’t felt this happy in a long time. She felt like she could fly if she wanted, and dance on top of the table top as long as he would join with her and flash that mind boggling smile. “Do you read, Sawyer?” Considering that she was such an avid reader, it was surprising that she didn’t only go for readers. She actually hasn’t ever gone for anybody to be honest. She’s a virgin, never been kissed, never had a boyfriend. It was probably foolish to say that she hoped Sawyer would at least be two out of those three, after all, she wasn’t sure if she’d see him after today.
She could sit there and talk and listen to him and probably smile like an idiot for the entire day; though her tea was quickly running low, finishing it off with one more gulp. The coldness from her night’s sleep in the park was all but gone from her system, replaced with warmth by the tea and by the sight of Sawyer in front of her. She hoped he wouldn’t take her empty cup as a sign that she was ready to go, because she really wasn’t. It was strange that she’d gone from thinking about making a break for it when he went to get drinks to desperately not wanting them to leave and go on their way.
"People say I read too much, but it’s a nice escape. I like to read when I’m in the park, because sometimes it does get awfully lonely, I tend to read until they shut the lights off."
Maybe he should stop zoning out wherever there was a small gap of silence, but how could he stop himself? He was so interested in the smiling blonde girl that was sitting in front of him, she was some sort of beautiful creature that he had 'accidentally' bumped when she was in distress, and now he couldn't get away. He felt like he already knew her from way back, and now he was afraid that she just might leave and never look back at the brunet boy from the cafe. " I feel ashamed of saying that... I normally don't read. After highschool I found myself busy, and I didn't get the chance of picking up a book ever since... " You could see in his face the disappointment in himself by that slight frown and glance he made at his latte, that by now must be cold. " Maybe sometime you could show me where you work? Maybe recommend me something. " He really didn't want to be that guy that she met and seemed to be great, but then since he didn't take reading as a hobby he wasn't that great and oh nevermind he was just another guy you meet on the street. He seemed to be now caring for how he reflected himself on her, what did she think of him? Suddenly plenty of stuff from the past didn't matter much, but what was happening now was the priority.
" Maybe those people don't know how unfortunate they are of not appreciating books, and what great adventures and life changing thoughts they might find. " Like me. " Until the shut the lights? That must be plenty of time. Where do you go after? " Did he sound to nosy? he didn't want to make her feel like he was harassing her, but now he couldn't help but to feel a bit nervous for speaking without even analyzing his words before. He just smiled a bit more shyly than before, but it was mostly embarrassment of how bold he might've sounded just at last.

"How do I know? Because we both got our drinks at the same time, and they’ve been sitting in the same environment for the same period of time, i just logically concluded that your drink cools quicker than mint tea." The girl shrugged, twirling the drink she had in her hands until a small part of it spilled. "Oops." She looked up at him with a small blush, and a half smile. To be honest, she’d seen his taken aback, and had figured that she’d said something wrong, and now she feels like pouting and sulking off into a corner. She really liked this boy, and even though they’d only met an hour or two ago, it felt like she just shared a natural connection with the boy. As she internally, silently pouted she went on to explain the bookstore, a frown on her face as she stared at her tea, not venturing a glance at Sawyer.
"Well Aspen’s the owner, and she needed help. She’s one of the greatest people I’ve ever met. She saw me one day, and well I wasn’t.. nevermind. So she offered me a job, and I took it. It’s a second chance, really." As she spoke about the bookstore, she finally looked up at him, her pout tossed to the side in favor of a wide smile. "All those books, it’s like my crappy life never happened. I can be a swan princess, or darth freaking vader if I wanted to be! I get to be someone other than Carolina for as long as I’m reading those books, and working in that bookstore. It’s magical."
She looked up at him, feeling a bit braver now that she’d spoken about her beloved bookstore. She over analyzed everything, and she knew that, but as she looked into his warm eyes that had replaced the ones where he seemed taken aback, she felt better about it. Maybe she hadn’t messed it up yet.
Sawyer tilted his head a bit as he listened to her theory facts, he did some quiet 'Hm..Uh..Uhu.' as a mumble of agreement with what had seemed ever so logic to her, but he hadn't even taken in much thought about the drinks in the whole meanwhile they had been here. Mostly he had been so focused on her, that he didn't notice that the drinks were already cooling down, and that-- 'oh wow she is so cute when she blushes.' Soon his own dazing was gone in a split of a second as he realized how she wasn't glancing at him anymore, but at the cup. Normally he would be okay with it, but she was frowning. Was it about her job? Was it something he said or did? He could feel himself getting a bit uneasy with worry and mental guilt.
He quietly listened to her, actually following the story well, his attention was a bit taken when she said 'nevermind' and proceeded with the story. Had she been okay back then? It was unsettling and even foolish to feel such concern for something that hadn't happened anytime near today.
His concerns were swept away when he noticed how her voice changed and how her whole persona changed mood and showed such a sincere passion for readying and just books themselves. He couldn't help but to smile widely seeing her much more confident and happy now, " Magical indeed. " Cheesy and cliché it would be to say that he hadn't only meant the experience of reading and books, but her as well.

”Oh you are so scary, Sawyer!” Brooklyn said, cracking her straight face with a smile. Only to try her hardest to make it straight again. “Heavy armor my ass. I’m not a difficult challenge. You love me and I know it!” She protested.
" Oh noo! Don't look at me! I'm.. I'm scary! And now you know my deepest and most platonic love I've got for you! I am done! " Sawyer laughed in between his hands, finding it hard to put on the 'oh-so-distraught' act without laughing or grinning as he had tried to speak.
