Banksy has confirmed that a new statue erected in London is his work and I think it might be one of my favourite pieces by him.

Called "Blinded by the Flag" it... actually, you don't need me to explain it, it's art, you'll get it and interpret it yourself.

It's in Waterloo Place, Central London, if you're nearby.

the statue is fantastic but this quote from the article pisses me off:

“While we have taken initial steps to protect the statue, at this time it will remain accessible for the public to view and enjoy.”

they’re acting as if they’re merely “allowing” the public to see it. as if they specifically commissioned it. Banksy’s whole fucking thing is public protest art. it’s meant to be temporary, it’s meant to be public! the amount of his art that he has personally destroyed in order to avoid it becoming private property should maybe be a clue that hey! the public is meant to see it!!

all the rich see in Banksy’s art is a name. they don’t care about the appearance, nor the meaning behind it, nor do they care why Banksy put that art in that location. they just want a Banksy in their house. because it’s a Banksy.

URGENT, PLEASE!

I recently adopted a kitten (she had fallen down a drain) and today I took her to the vet urgently because she was vomiting and oozing pus. I was told that she has an infection in her uterus (it's basically full of pus) and that she needs urgent surgery, plus she has tested positive for erlikia.

Even with all my savings, I can't cover all the expenses for surgeries, remedies and other aftercare.

what are some headcanons you have about mandalorian adoption?

I don't really have hcs around it tbh, I just wish it was a topic that was handled with a bit more of care, especially when the mando parent in question is a soldier/mercenary, bc the idea of a soldier taking/adopting the children of the side they are fighting against, and so also taking them away from their homeworld, is kind of fucked up tbh, and even in other cases, just taking a kid away like it was a lost puppy is still..... well it should be handled with more care

#it's interesting how when the jedi adopt and we have actual proof that it was done with the consensus of the parents #everybody still calls them baby stealers #but mandos can take the children of the side that they are fighting against and that's considered noble #< BLUE YOURE SO CORRECT
