yesterday night I was rewatching cats 1998, and i almost fell asleep during Gus: the theatre cat. It was 1 am and the song has a lullaby quality to it, can you blame me? But as i was drifting out of consciousness, i heard the opening notes of Skimbleshanks: the railway cat, opened my eyes and immediately locked tf in.

Point is, i really like Skimbleshanks, he’s my favorite cat and song.

#to be fair #I also almost fall asleep every time during gus #I relate to all of the Jellicles. especially skimble cause he sleeps during gus #it's just. first moments of happiness then gus??? I am drifting away #at least there's skimble. he is so jolly that everyone automatically wakes up again
