It’s almost LGBTQIA+ pride month (not that I care), but I can’t believe lengths companies have gone to, to be inclusive of a minority of our people just to appear “woke” when they could have done the same thing in April during Autism Acceptance Month. Our stuggles are at least 10x worst than most people’s on a good day, between navigating unwritten and confusing social rules, pushing ourselves to fit in just so we can have friends, being overwhelmed by slightest change in light or noise, more prone anxiety and depression, 9 times more likely to commit suicide, and a high likelihood that we won’t live past 40, it’s a wonder we can even walk out the door in the morning. LIFE UPDATE: I finally moved out into an apartment! I’m still in Weatherford, Oklahoma and incase you didn’t know Im not coming back to Kansas, not permanently anyway. Yes I’m 25 and I just now moved out 🙄. Shay has been one of my best friends for 6 years and now she’s my roommate 🤩! I’ve been in and out of college for years but I think I’m going to stay now since I got basically a full ride grant renewable for 4 years. I’m almost a sophomore now.
