bonjour mes amis ! after some discussion, admin valky and i have decided to close eclatant for applications. however! we would love to keep the main up and to continue writing with all of you in a closed group. we are so proud of the development we’ve had thus far and truly enjoy the little family we have created here. we are just not accepting new applicants at this time. a revamp might happen in the near future but for now, we just want to enjoy writing with you all. those of you who are still here with us, please give this a like so we know you’ll be staying. 

what this means for you; 

we’ll still continue to update the main regularly with events, tasks, etc. there will be no activity checks but we’re going by an honor system. please try to keep up activity within the same 4-5 day mark. memes will continue every sunday-tuesday and can be posted throughout the week. our tags remain the same with the exception of any promo tagging. we will no longer be promoting eclatant. 

our gossip blog will remain up and we know you love jonathan so please keep him alive!  there is no character limit at this time so you may bring new ones! if they have new blogs, we only ask that a follow is sent to the main so we can post it. think of this as a semi-dependent blog. if you will be adding new characters, simply post the new intro and we will add to the main for our reference. (keep our banned face claims in mind). 

no need for hiatus requests at this time but let us know if you’ll be away for longer than a week or two. not that there will be an unfollow of sorts but we just want to make sure you’re still around! 

last but not least, if you were formerly a part of eclatant and would like to write with us again, just drop us a line, we’d love to have you.

we do want you all to know that us admins are very understanding of all of this and only ask that you keep us in your thoughts too by sending us messages to the main to let us know you will be away from your character accounts. we always urge that you reach out if a hiatus is needed whether it is semi-hiatus or a full one. we never mind the need to take time off. we know how rough real life can be. 

we’ve added a few tweaks to our guidelines including a character limit extension and a character hiatus rule. we hope the latter will also help with those who have multiple muses and cannot be on every character at a given time. also, a gentle reminder that posting an out of character message indicating that you will not be on does not count as a message to the main. there are times we cannot be on either and might miss your ooc message so please be mindful of that as well. we’re here to help !

they say that to truly know a person, a peek into their socials will sometimes do the trick. but what if your character isn’t really an instagram type? well, what does their spotify look like? does their youtube account have a playlist they turn to? is their satellite radio set up to specific music? if socials and music are out, aesthetic boards and mood boards will give us a glimpse into your character as well ! 

for this task, we’d love to see one or all of the above ! let us into your character’s world. keep in mind their relationships. are they dating someone, who is their best friend? do they have a squad? is there someone they’re pining over? what takes up their feed? be creative and take us on a journey !

below are some suggestions including a link for an instagram template. don’t have photoshop? totally fine! neither do i ! you can make an aesthetic post or a mood board of post a play list, be creative ! we’ll absolutely love anything you post !
