Looking at presentation options for the potential of using projection as a final display. Im considering to use a mirror as a surface to project onto

Grading option??
This effect of double exposure with a more graphic element would be an interesting approach to my own footage. My overlaying only light based videos with stills or plants swaying in the wind. I am curious to try a collaboration of video with graphic shapes to produce focal points in the footage
HBO's True Detective - Main Title Sequence is another interesting example of the the double exposure technique. I think there may be even too much content? And would prefer a more graphic element being introduced but it does a very decent the job as title sequence.
Paul Trillos music video for The Peach Kings - Be Around uses a double exposure technique to merge clips of natural scenery with full body and profile silhouettes. The effect seems particularly successful at providing an open story line and I have a huge potential to use the technique myself. As I am trying to create video pieces that evoke an essence of the book I think it is important to avoid 'story telling' and bring it back down to the core reasons why the book even exists; human interaction with plants/nature. purpose and use. To do this, I will use provocative cropping of certain body parts apparent in the book, instead of using full body shots.
After some general research into double exposure and effect techniques I found this photography that uses a broken mirror to depict a classic sunset. The mirror has a history in superstitions but essentially used as a reflection of current time. Of the now. This provokes me into thinking that using a mirror could also be used as a abstract doorway to the past as well. Secondly mirrors are particularly good at reflecting light. This could be utilised by creating natural spotlights on particular plants, or particular body parts.

colour pallettes of 1600 - 1800
Bird sounds
Importance of some acoustic aspect to the video pieces may be integral to their success. This lute medieval piece is very reminiscent of the 1600's and as the books content is based on lores from 1600-1800's mainly it would be fitting to use aspects of these sounds but in a more abstract way, perhaps laced with natural sounds as well.
To save me having to spend allot of time on editing the film footage for the correct colour grade etc. To consider - Polarized lens
In search of some soundscapes for the video pieces I like the use of what sounds like a crow in background

GIF taking on the Museum with Reddit in New York
After watching this short promotional video for the new Museum of Folklore pointed out how essential it is British folklore should be acknowledged. There is so much history, so many wonderful tales that should be celebrated rather than forgotten.
