patting her arm, smiling brightly. “aw c’mon! you think i was going to leave ya? nuh-uh. you need to learn!” she playfully chides her before linking arms with her. although, selene would could never outrun a wolf. wolves were ridiculously fast.

she smiles sheepishly, watching as the other demonstrated the moves. with each passing second, her brow furrows more and more. the erratic nervousness is settling in her stomach now, but still, she does as scarlet says and tries the move, “how’s this?”

“it could happen..but that’s why i became a rebel. i’m changing ways..and i’m changing myself for the better. it’s why i took off the hood.” scarlet’s eyes turn back to a gold color and she knows selene is referring to her eyes, “it’s a thing that happens to me…” she bashfully says, rubbing the back of her neck while sniffling.

as she felt selene’s arms wrap around her, she feels more safer. she lets out a few tears, sniffling. she’s really missed selene for such a long while. it didn’t feel same without her. “y-yeah i know..i’ll try my best this time okay? i’ll try to open up more.. i promise you. i won’t leave you in the dark.” she promises to her. she inhales deeply before lifting her head to rest her chin on selene’s shoulder.

“you’re forgiven. i’m not mad at all..you were hurt and i should have told you.” scarlet assures selene. 

“please don’t say that,” she whispers, “i could never imagine that happening to someone as sweet and lovely as you. but i’m glad you decided to take off the hood. if that means you can now ‘find yourself’, i’m all for it.” she laughs, small smile curving on the edges of her lips, “i like it. what’s it mean?”

“good,” she says, like a mother would to a child, “if i find out you did this to me again-” she pauses and teases, the old, always happy, selene returning for just a moment, “i’ll be mad forever!” she pats the other’s head before stepping away to look at scarlet in the eyes. 

scarlet grabs the papers out of selene’s hands gently, examining them as her brown orbs scan across the page. “you were doing very good in the first half and i suppose you got stuck in the second.” she pivots a bit, playing a few notes.

she watches scarlet go through her sheet music with interest, carefully noting the way she writes in certain signs and notes, “sorry, i’m not super well versed with the whole sheet music thing yet. i used to just kind of wing things.” she laughs a little nervously before scanning her eyes over the new revisions and playing a few notes, “but thank god for you, scarlet. you just made this piece ten times better!”

”Nene!” she chirps, arms wide open and a bone crushing hug was Selene’s welcome to her room. By the time hyped Megan had somewhat settled down, she was ready to pull on her pjs and proceeded to dim the lights at the inquiry. There was a mischievous giggle from her as she closed the curtains and whipped around to stare at Selene not so innocently “We’re getting to business my friend, from tonight mission ‘get your man’ is a go!” she shuffles over to flop onto the bed, sitting up straight with no signs of sleepiness about her

“ You can’t fight m on this, not anymore. If I have to, I’ll actively contribute in this, for now, I’m going to suggest, assist and help” she pauses and bites her lip as she held up an index finger “ Before this though just one little secret I wanted to let you on. I kinda had my eyes on that dude- for myself I mean- but not anymore so honestly please Selene! Go get him before someone else beats you to it!!” now she was whining, hands joint in a pleading manner with the signature kitten-eyes look.

selene throws her arms around the other in an equally as bone crushing hug. at her nickname, selene only laughs, and her grins widens. settled on the megan’s bed, she ruffles around in her bag before pulling out several snacks and dumping them on the bed. a couple of cans of soda and other various drinks spill out onto the bed as well. 

“pick your poison,” she says, as if she’s dealing out something illegal and not just hot cheetos and goldfish crackers. as she’s opening a bag of hot cheetos and plopping one in her mouth, she freezes when she hears megan speak. 

“but, meg-” selene whines, but it isn’t like she makes it far- especially when megan plows straight ahead with her plan. at the other’s secret reveal, selene mock gasps and narrows her eyes playfully, “i guess it is time for me to make sure it’s known that he’s my man. can you imagine if i had to go against you to win his affections? i’d surely be a goner.” she teases, patting the other’s head affectionately.

laughing, “i’m sure he will..but he’s chaotically good. takes after his dad after all. uncle logan isn’t all that grumpy..he’s been through alot.” defending wolverine. continuing the story, “so we get what we need…and there’s this lady at the register. she asks my father how old he is. i wasn’t expecting it..”

“i don’t blame those girls though. hormones and whatnot drive you to do a lot of crazy things- even if it means being completely clueless at a basketball game to catch a glimpse of that crush,” selene says with a bit of pity. the amount of fangirls there was insane. but they were young and harboring crushes, so it wasn’t like selene could hate them. she rose a brow, looking from her deck to his own eyes, “perhaps there is? but then again, i should probably know- i am the self proclaimed president. i don’t know if there’s an official one, but i’m sure there’s plenty of girls already begging for your attention- even if it’s solely focused on our dear axel cupid.”

“i do not flirt all the time. i am simply being friendly. get with the times, gramps. and, if i do flirt, i’m pretty sure i’d be a stuttering mess. not smooth at all, don’t you agree? but, then wouldn’t you call what we did yesterday a date then? we were obviously alone, and...” she trails off, biting her bottom lip.

selene shrugs, “okay, i mean i probably shouldn’t judge so quickly, especially since i’m most likely going to be meeting your family pretty soon. but i’m super excited for this childhood friend of yours. he sounds like someone that would be able to keep up with my adrenaline rushes.”

selene hands him over the queen before drawing a card from the deck. a smirk blooms on her face, and she holds up the four fives before grinning mischievously at him, “sorry i’m going to have to cut your story short, grumpy. you can tell me your dad joke after you fulfill your end of the deal.” she laughs, “say hello to the winner of go fish. and you know what that means, don’t you?” she pauses for dramatic effect, “that’s right. i dare you, ezio lebeau to kiss axel cupid- on the lips.” she holds up a finger, wagging it when the older starts to complain, “nope, you cannot back out of this. we promised this would be the reward for the winner of the game, and if you back out, you’re not holding up your end of the bargain. if you had won, i know you would’ve dared me to kiss darian.”

she stands up, stretching quickly after she set down her winning set of five’s. as she waits for ezio to stand up, she spies the aforementioned boy they were just talking about- axel, and she nudges (or rather pushes really hard) the ezio in that direction. “enjoy your time together, love birds! i better see those lips connect!” 

“tell axel i said hi, will you gramps? you can thank me later!”

Hearing about the brothers has her humming thoughtfully “ I’ll def consider it, as for arm candy, I’ll make sure I do go back with some, even if it lasts a few days or weeks back into being on campus. Somehow the ‘heroes’ and ‘villains’ separation feel stronger on Campus grounds—here everyone feels to be on the same level” she shrugs, maybe it was the whole setting. OR maybe it was because of all the topless guys and the bikini clad girls.

“i’m sure you’ll be able to get anyone to fall in love with you. i mean, you won my heart, right?” selene teases, poking the other in the stomach, “you’re right, maybe it has something to do with the beach? we’re not feeling that same pressure to follow our destinies here, so the fine line between royal and rebel is basically nonexistent.”

“screw all the other castles!” selene says as a battle cry before helping megan finish up the castle. surely, their castle was the best on the entire beach, quite comparable to the many real life castles that dotted the world.

if only they could continue on like this, without a single worry on their shoulders...

He laughs, finding it amusing for Selene to read him like a page in a book, but no, it does really bother him to see her alone, but he’s not quite good at expressing that thought. He disregards everything just because running around in circles is boring. 

she shifts her gaze down to her own sandals when the blush starts to color her cheeks, furrowing her brows before making eye contact again. she clears her throat before directing his question right back at him, “what about you? why are you out here all alone?”
