For lunch we went to The Stockyard, an eatery that’s recently opened near the office. The menu looks excellent, predominantly southern American inspired dishes. Good Evening once more!

I think my body is in desperate need of a salad, or something equally healthy and fresh. Unfortunately for it, it’s not getting a salad tonight. It’s getting Special Fried Rice and Salt & Pepper wings – though at least there should be some veg in the fried rice.

Good evening!

I discovered a new(ish) treat from Greggs for lunch on Saturday… The steak and cheese roll. This is a gamechanger! And is definitely at the top of their savouries for me now, replacing the long time champion, the chicken bake.

Going to Greggs is also an excuse to pick up a caramel custard doughnut, which coincidentally tops the cakes list at Greggs.

Well that’s it, the working week is done! And with it, are five days of my two weeks of takeout. Until this evening, my favourite meal has been the chinese we had on Day 1 with the lowlight definitely being last night’s KFC. but today’s smashed it out of the park.

A late, short post tonight, mainly because of the terrible football match I just watched (Besiktas v Liverpool) with Liverpool losing the game 1-0 and then going out of the competition on penalties – whoever thought Lovren taking a penalty was a good idea needs a very stern talking to. Time to concentrate on finishing fourth.

So far, the highlight of my day has been discovering that the local corner shop is selling a box of five Cadbury’s Creme Eggs for £1.50, at 30p an egg, that’s a bargain in anyone’s eyes

I’m back again with another quick look at the fixtures coming up for this gameweek.

I had a disappointing week last week coming in at one point under average and saw some horrible red arrows in my league stats, but I’m hoping my two free transfers this week will stop the rot and come good.

Food: Simple Paella (kind of) #food #foodporn #paella #chorizo

The ‘kind of’ in the title is because Paella gets its name from the pan its cooked in, not the ingredients used, so therefore, because I cooked this in my Karahi (which I use for damned near everything) its, technically, not a paella.

Now that we’re getting in towards winter, these lovely, filling, warming dishes are the kind of evening meal that I crave, you’ll leave the table completely…
