eh, I get it. fiction is fiction, but it doesn’t exist in a vacuum and a lot of the time the purpose of art is to reflect on real life situations/values. if there was a show where someone was shipping a 40 yo and a 13 yo or something like that, I’d judge that person for enjoying that fictional content, too. it’s fake but it’s Fucked Up and what you enjoy in media can say a lot about what you enjoy in the real world

I don’t think incest is inherently wrong or gross - only if there’s a huge age gap or it’s manipulative/not consensual (obv). If Waverly and Wynona were fucking it would affect, like, literally no one. They can’t even have inbred children (not a strong argument against incest anyway ‘cause 1) inbred children are less likely than you think to have deformities, 2) it’s not like everyone is incestuous and it’s gonna fuck up the entire human gene pool if a couple siblings bang and 3) there’s people who can pass on all kinds of medical conditions no matter who they have kids with and no one tells them they’re gross for having children, but i digress) I just never saw anything wrong with a consensual relationship between two adults if that’s how they want to spend their lives. Plus it’s got the forbidden fruit appeal with not a lot of consequences outside of you can’t get married and Great Aunt Susan doesn’t want to talk to you at family cookouts anymore.
