but yeah like, i think so deeply about how kris is in anthy's position and noelle is more in utena's position, which is interesting because im such a Kris Would Never Willingly Hurt Noelle warrior -- but the scene where anthy stabs utena (or at least theatrically does so, the betrayal is still there, kind of like how sticking a thorn in your friend's finger is like Nothing but the weight of what that action means is so impossibly heavy, connection i stole from oomf K hi K) she does so as a means of pushing utena away, which is the only way i can imagine kris, by their own volition, choosing to hurt noelle in some way... because i think its easy to look at depictions of Kris Hurting Noelle Somehow and think "damn! that dastardly SOUL is back at it again!!!!!!" but like, possibly even outside of WR context, its viable to think that kris by themself would be prone to hurting noelle for the purpose of keeping her away, right? i mean like, we've seen it happen. not with sticking the thorn in her finger (because that is us, no matter how you cut it), but rather growing painfully distant from her after the freaking Incident when they were kids, pushing her away when she probably needed them most omori-style, etc.... but i think thats one of the biggest connections i make in my head between utenanthy and kriselle, that being one of them thinks their burden is so impossibly large to bear & it is their eternal punishment and cannot accept help from anyone, willing to hurt in order to keep others safe, but reeeaaally really so very deeply longing for that connection just barely in their reach, they just need the courage to grab it.... (starts thinking about the coffin scene) i haveto go now bye
