"Newsflash: We are halfway around the world." She smirked, quirking a brow in the process. “And I still got to it. Face it, I’m unstoppable."

"I meant halfway across the world form your given location," Danny said with a good-natured eyeroll. "So, in this case, that'd be.... England, roughly. Since America is just a stone's throw away if you flatten out the earth." He shrugged, picking up the discarded and dented cans.

"Maybe you should’ve had a better foundation then," She grinned an innocent smile, “Not my fault the architect sucks."

"Well the architect never graduated highschool so I'm guessing I asked for it." Danny sighed good naturedly and went about collecting the toppled cans. "though next time I build something I'll make sure it's halfway around the world so you can't knock it down."

Kicking her foot into the cans, she watched them topple, moving her leg out of the way and wincing at the one or two that hit her. “I’m glad.” She spoke, “Anything outside the complex? Maybe it’s causea me.” She cracked a grin, “I am covered in blood, afterall.”

"Not that I could see," Danny shrugged. "But I didn't look down so maybe." He frowned at the toppled masterpiece before frowning up at her and pouting. "hey, I built that. I put a lot of work into it. Took me three years!" He joked.

Sam quirked a brow and turned to look at him, “Considering there’s not 13  months, I’d guess day, month, year.” It was the way Europeans marked their cans, but she’d have to take a look at it to be sure. “Good plan though. There weren’t any incidents?”

"No, it's quiet out there." Danny frowned, setting everything out. "Very quiet. It was...strange." He sat back, looking at the cans before sitting forward again and setting them up like a pyramid. "But I guess it's good for us? I mean, I got food and didn't get attacked." 

"I would have, if I could read what "12symbol 3 symbol 13 symbol meant." Danny murmured, not that cans really went skunky quickly anyways. They were usually pretty good for months after their expiry date had passed. "It was more trying to find enough to fill my backpack than any trouble with anything." Danny mentioned off handedly.

Sam smirked, taking a bite of the chocolate bar before offering it to Danny. “Let’s just hope you didn’t pick up a can of motor oil or something.” That’d be a fun time, opening and cooking a can of motor oil, or any oil for that matter. 

"Mice." Danny repeated with a nod. "He believes that you're a cat. That all women are cats, and that these mice toys help you get over a nasty infestation of cooties." Danny crossed his arms with a grin. Children had the wildest imaginations when they wanted to. "I'll leave you alone so you can um...insert that." He waved a hand at the tampon, going to the door. 

Danny nodded, holding out a tampon for her. "Been back for... maybe half an hour?" Danny said with a smile. "Matthew and I were discussing tampons. He thinks they're mice." He said offhandedly, stepping back a little. "How many baths have you had today?" He asked with a lopsided grin.

“Mnnnn.” Sam groaned at his voice, turning over in her sleep, and pressing her face up against the faucet, before she slid down a little ways. Still uncomfortable, she let out a whine before settling, unaware that Danny’d even returned. The clove in her hand lying forgotten on the floor. Her position, more uncomfortable looking than the last, with her neck craned at an odd angle against the side, and her body curled up. Her arms scrunched beneath her and discarded behind her.

Danny rolled his eyes and came over, putting a hand on her shoulder and shaking her a little. "Hey. Wake up." He muttered, putting the tampons on the counter for the time being. "I brought your gross women things, the least you could do is wake up." He chuckled, brushing her damp hair out of her face.

“Sounds a lot like cats…” Matthew mumbled before signaling he wanted down. As soon as his tiny feet touched the floor, he went rummaging through the bag, muttering, “I’m gonna make Sammy a nother present.” He grabbed a few things and retreated to his corner with the crayons and some paper and started drawing and peeling the labels off certain cans to be used in his gift.

“And they only work for girls?” Matt frowned, connecting the dots. “Why do girls get all the cool things, I want a magic mouse!” He wasn’t sick and when he was sick, his mommy and daddy never gave him one, so he guessed the mice didn’t work for boys. He could only imagine what they do; did they turn into real mice? Were they just mesmerizing? Did they hold magic? ”Are girls cats?” He suddenly asked, “Cause they don’t look like them but they really like mice toys. Do the mice keep them people formed? So they don’t turn back to cats?” Girls were a mystery, especially his mommy and Sammy. The little girls he played with at the park never used cat toys, not the mice anyway. One of them brought in a feather stick once to kindergarden, which Matthew only thought proved his theory on girls in actuality being human cats.

Danny wasn't all together sure how to answer Matthew's questions but he furrowed his brow, trying to think of something to say. "Not...quite." He started, trying to figure out how to say it without going into the whole birds and bees thing. "It's more... they keep them from getting really cranky and agitated." He wished Sam were here now to help him with this, he was really starting to flounder. "They're pretty useless for us boys though. Just because thats' how things worked out, I guess." He said with a small shrug. Kids were hard.
