Yes! We are still very much active. We do not accept OCs, unfortunately, but some of our most wanted males right now are:Ā Luke Cage, Billy Russo (Jigsaw), Curtis Hoyle, Jean-Paul Duchamp (Frenchie), Quentin Beck (Mysterio), Rick Jones, Tony Masters (Taskmaster), and really any villains!

Yes, of course! This post is going to be a quick rundown of how basic roleplaying works on the server. We also have a few systems in place for tagging triggers, events, etc. but that can all be learned as you go in server.
When it comes to roleplaying on Dysfunction JunctionĀ thereās two primary forms of roleplaying: in-app and para.
In-AppĀ roleplay is script rp that takes place in the fictional Dysfunction JunctionĀ app that all characters have been added to. There are several different types of chat: the main chat which all characters have been added to, faction chats (hero, villain, neutral and civilian) which characters can request to be added to, and direct messages.
Para, on the other hand, is any real world interactions. Theyāre written out in paragraph format exactly like most other forms of rp. Itās really just that straight forward.
To expand on these concepts, Iāve included some screencaps with more explanation, but overall weāre very welcoming to people new to discord rp so donāt worry too much about it! On top of being more than willing to help you get settled in, we have an rp guide on the server that goes into more detail about certain features of the in-character app and how to get started.
The following is a screenshot of all of the current in-character categories. Dysfunction Junction AppĀ has everything related to the core features of the app: the main chat, faction chat, a social media channel, and an ic news channel. Upper & Lower Manhattan, The Boroughs, and Greater New York CityĀ are where all of the real world threads go. Chinatown Relief BenefitĀ has all of our threads relating to that specific event. And, the various Direct MessageĀ and Text MessageĀ channels are for just that, with the difference between DirectĀ and TextĀ messages mostly coming down to helping create a distinction between Peter Parker texting Gwen Stacy and Spider-Man messaging Gwen in the app, for example.
The following is an example of what RP in the #main-chatĀ looks like. The emojis at the beginning of every message signify which character is talking. We also have various little formatting techniques to signify if a character is typing, taking a long time to reply, etc. when itās relevant to the mood of the conversation. Those are more likeĀ āadvanced techniquesā, though, and things youāll get a feel for as you participate.
In character, chats in the app look something like this, with the emojis acting as an icon. Basically as a way to give the emojis an in-character use as well as a practical one.
Direct MessagesĀ function basically the same way as the main chat, except itās a private discussion, usually between two characters, but like using discord itself private group chats can be created as well. We haveĀ āgenericā DMs listed under Direct Messages (Gen.)Ā which can be used by anyone on the fly, and then when characters have been DMing consistently for a while players are free to request a channel unique to those characters.
As stated before, para threads are just that, but to make it extra clear, hereās an example of a para reply! Unlike in-app messages, these donāt require emojis as it should be clear reading it who the characters involved are.

October 2019
October 1st
The Dysfunction Junction app begins to infect the phones and devices of New Yorkers with connections to vigilantes.
The first wave is @bullseye, @daredevil, @dumont, @foggy, @micro, @moon knight and @rachel.
October 16th
The Green Goblin bombs Chinatown, claiming an issue with the vigilante Blindspot, who operates in the neighborhood, was the reason for the bombing. Moon Knight is reported to have aided in stopping the Goblinās rampage.
October 23rd
Steven Grant, a somewhat notable New York socialite, hosts a benefit to raise money for those affected by the Chinatown Bombing.
November 2019
November 5th
Norman Osborn brings the Superhuman Registration Bill into the spotlight by publicly backing it, citing the recent Green Goblin bombings as the reason for his support.
November 9th
The Green Goblin bombs the corner of 42nd and 9th. Spider-Man is on the scene shortly after, and heās later joined by Cloak & Dagger and Blindspot. The heroes were unable to capture the Goblin.
November 10th
News articles begin to circulate indicating the return of Daredevil. While many believe him to be the original, thereās some speculation that he may be a copycat of sorts.
November 16th
The Daily Bugle is evacuated after warnings from Eddie Brock that the Scorpion planned to attack. However, there was no attack, or direct statement from the Scorpion.
November 17th
In a video posted to YouTube, Steven Grant reveals himself to be the vigilante Moon Knight. In the video, he voices support for the Superhuman Registration Bill following a near-fatal fight with the Green Goblin.
November 20th
While Norman Osborn is leaving a charity auction benefiting victims of superhuman violence, hosted by Vanessa Marianna, Daredevil attempts to assassinate him. However, the attack is thwarted by the Scorpion.
November 21st
Vanessa Marianna publicly supports the Superhuman Registration Bill.
