I have to be honest with you guys, I'm sort of confused by the doomposting, because from what I can tell (pre-official translation, etc), Katsuki and Izuku's conversation is very considerate, gentle, and indicative of how close they've grown. Like, the whole thing is incredibly sweet and full of Katuski reaffirming how much he cares for Izuku.
Katsuki offers a job at his agency. Izuku says, “no, thanks, I have a job that I really like”, and Kirishima, because he's Katuski's bro-est friend to the end, has to tease Katuski about getting rejected.
And Katsuki, realizing that his intentions might not have been clear, explains what he meant specifically for Izuku. He says that if someone is important to you, you should make sure they know. AKA he’s explicitly telling Izuku that he wants him to know that he's important to Katsuki. And then, and then, adds that Izuku should do things for himself, that he should be doing whatever makes him happy. And this line in particular is so sweet, because it’s such a lovely encapsulation of how much Katsuki’s grown up. He’s saying, hey, man, we aren’t kids anymore. You didn’t bruise my ego, I’m not pissed off, I just want you to be happy. If teaching is what you find fulfilling, I’ll support it.
In context, Katsuki effectively spends the whole car ride telling Izuku that he doesn’t want to work with anyone but him (“if any interns had come along saying they want to surpass me…”). He's saying that nothing has changed, he hasn’t moved on, he still actively wants Izuku by his side. He’s letting Izuku know that there will always be a place for him at Katsuki’s agency if he ever changes his mind, but that he wants Izuku to be happy and is glad he’s found something (teaching) that makes him feel that way. There isn’t anger. Maybe some disappointment, but not because I think he’s feeling totally rejected by Izuku. He's actually just giving him affirmation after affirmation that he still cares about Izuku, a lot.
And yeah, because most of Horikoshi’s dialogue has double meanings, Katsuki can definitely be read as a (somewhat inadvertant) wingman for Izuku and Ochako, but honestly, those two instances are fairly separate. The conversation in the car is all about him and Izuku, and if Izuku takes that to heart and goes to Ochako, I don’t see that as dismissive of Katsuki. I see that as a testament to their friendship that, for the first time in his life, Izuku actually listens to someone else’s advice and does something for himself lololol.
Like I’m sorry to the people who are upset, but I just find the “Katsuki and Izuku were totally mishandled and they don’t like each other anymore” freak outs to be a bit odd.
I hate to rain on the angst parade but Izuku going "Kacchan you know I have a job right" when asked to join his hero agency is hilarious. Dude was like I'm not giving up my 401k just to go frolicking in the streets with you. Lmao.
Surprised I haven't seen anyone mentioning this, but I'm pretty sure the epilogue is the way that it is because they're floating the idea of an additional post-canon sequel with all the characters as adult heroes.
I promise I don't mean this in a bitchy way but some of these posts critical of the BNHA ending read like "it's horrific that the villains all died. Even though they did terrible, criminal things, they were still people with thoughts and dreams and heartaches and did not deserve to be extra-judiciously executed. Anyway, Horikoshi sucks and there are obviously no real world implications we can read into with his writing choices".

I can't prove it but I just know Aizawa's breakdown haircut happened when the rat principal told him Izuku Midoriya—U.A.'s best and brightest!—was going to be joining them as a teacher after graduating, and he was slapped in the face by the realization that he was going to be responsible for this kid forever
I just... can you imagine Deku for EIGHT YEARS quietly hurting because his friends have all become heroes, and it seems like they don't have time for him anymore. But it's fine! Kacchan cried and told him that he wanted to compete with Deku for the rest of their lives, but that was a long time ago. They don't have much in common anymore, now that he's quirkless. It's fine.
Only to find out that Bakugo has been actively working and getting help from their old friends to save money so they can buy Deku the possibility of being a hero again? Eight YEARS. And the whole time, Bakugo was looking for a way to get Deku back. Holy shit.
The hand-off of Deku between his two biggest heroes is very sweet. All Might tells him to go, and Kacchan asks him to come. Wow my heart hurts.
Bakugo at the beginning of the manga: I need to make a lot of money as a hero to surpass All Might
Bakugo now: I need to make a lot of money as a hero because Deku's robot armor is so fucking expensive to maintain
Okay actually Bakugo buying Deku a quirkked-up iron man suit so he can be a hero again is actually going to break my heart

Wait wait wait they literally have iron man suits IN CANON in the manga. Why the fuck did nobody, oh, I don't know. Give one to Deku?? Eight years ago??
Horikoshi's commemorative art for the finale
Deku: you look sad! We can hold hands if you want :) BUT we have to talk about the guy I just killed if we do
Ururaka: okay. the girl who was in love with me sacrificed her life to save mine and all I feel is constant pain. I wish I could reverse time to make everything different because all I see is her and I am haunted
Also I know this has been brought up a lot, but meta talk, there are SO MANY spiderman parallels for Deku. The sense of duty/responsibility hanging over the head of someone too young to bear the burden, but who chooses to anyway. The way they're both motivated by failure—more specifically, by realizing their lack of foresight led to someone's death. The feeling of it being my fault, and the grief of that. The horror that will dog their futures and influence who they are as heroes. And just... the softness. Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman and Nobody Deku. Both boys who have the ability to help and choose to do so because it's the right thing, no matter how hard it is.
Anyway, I'm crying.
Katsuki and Shoto can’t be in a shonen anymore because they’ve finally been conscripted to work in the school harem Anime mines

This chapter is the reason why Deku really is a hero, by the way. He goes to Spinner—ostensibly a side character who I don't believe he's ever even spoken to before—because he listened to Shigaraki. He cared that a villain (his villain, the villain) had a message to pass on, and he made sure it was heard. He acknowledged how he failed Shigaraki. He genuinely cared about Spinner, a person he's never met, who has caused terrible destruction, and tried to help him.
Deku tried. He's trying. And he wants to do better in the future, and is actively looking for ways to do so. Because at the core of him, above all else: Deku is the name of a hero.
I just fucking love this kid, guys. He's so good.
Deku (with sunken eyes, haunted by the sins of his past) my beloved 💔
