Even the kids are encouraging it!

[ After another successful run, Dylan wished to celebrate their success at Cluster’s yacht. With the shining sun and nothing to lose, why not ? ]

Plus, I’d just love to see you on the dancefloor again. With all this money pouring in, I don’t see why you won’t step away for a moment and just relax with meeeee… it’s not faaaaiiirrr!

[ Dylan demanding attention from her husband. Of course. She loves him too much to ever be away for long. And with all this recent business, it’s been hard for the couple to just.. relax. Even so, they always make time for each other. ]

[ Dylan pulled out her iconic puppy dog eyes, begging. Hell, even some of their little Duck Sprites (‘Ducklings’) joined in on the cute adorable begging faces. They wanted a break too. They’ve been working hard as well, of course they’d want to spend it with mama and papa! Pour the drinks (probably water with ice and strawberries for the little ones), turn the music up, party on the dancefloor, and chill in the hot tub. Absolutely THE best definition of romantic relaxation. ]

[CLUSTER sighed, pushing himself from his desk and letting his swivel chair glide across the polished wooden flooring. He stopped himself with the toe of a polished loafer, punctuated by a smooth squeak.]

“I know, babydoll. But business is taking flight- and I need it to soar!”

[He began, spreading his arms wide in a grand gesture and almost knocking over a healthy stack of bills to the floor. At the mention of his..escapades on the dance floor, CLUSTER flushed an embarrassing shade of crimson and quickly flapped a hand; seemingly trying to whisk away the shame.]

“You’re killin’ me, DYL- don’t go and mention that!!”

[He quacked, flustering further with all the fussing from his wife. CLUSTER swung to and fro on his chair, balancing on the caps of his loafers. Stippling his fingers and resting his elbows to his knees, he stared at all the pleading eyes and batting eyelashes directed at him.]

“…”

[Taking a break did sound nice. He’d been growing tired of all the nagging from his RUNNERS…]

[He locked eyes with one of the DUCKLINGS, his brow furrowing as he stared it down through his tinted shades. He couldn’t resist all those little faces, like always.]

“Alright, alright, Sugar. I’ll yield.”

[CLUSTER shot up from his seat, hands on his hips. A few of the DUCKLINGS hung from his arms, one latched onto his leg and one currently conquering his back. His radio, clutched in his right hand, was soon chucked behind him - near missing sailing out the window and instead landing near the bin.]

“Been a while since I was able to waddle to the beat and let my feathers loose, anyhow.”

Oh would you all stop it ???

[ The plan was successful - the break was needed. Poor Cluster had his hands full, feathers ruffled, and just looked… tired. Yeah, it was tough being a kingpin. But hey, he was having fun. And all this money being poured into his hands… whoo! Dylan’s never seen that much cash before. She loved it. ]

“Can never say no to your pretty face, Coração.”

[He replied smoothly, using her grip on his hand to twirl her in a couple spins and lowering her into a swooping dip. Once both were stood idle again, he took her other hand and held them, rubbing her decorated knuckles with his thumbs. Or whatever classed as thumbs on his hands. He only had four- three? Fingers.]

“It will be perfect, DYL. Just us and ‘em. No RUNNERS, no deals, no nothing. Just us, a whole lot of cash, and the sun.”

[He sighed fondly, sunglasses slipping down his beak as his shoulders slumped.]

“Just us, Sugar.”

[He repeated, squeezing her hands with a grin before releasing one to fan himself.]

[ Oh Dylan and Cluster… where do we begin ? ]

[ Dylan remembers everything - All the times he swiped his card for her, every restaurant date, every time he surprised her with new jewelry or a new dress. He spoiled that damn girl rotten. She couldn’t even remember what her life was like BEFORE meeting Cluster. She was in love, so in love. ]

[ Even their wedding; though small and cheesy, was her favorite memory. The moment she truly felt like she was a real woman. That was the moment she knew he was the one. He loved her, every little bit of her. He never judged her, far from. If anything, he practically worshipped her. Dylan never felt love like that before, not at all. ]

[ Hard to believe they only got married a year ago. ]

[ Yes, being married to a rubber duck was silly. But did Dylan care ? ]

[He remembered it quite well. The vendor had robbed him blind with that shirt, but DYLAN had said it suited him, said that it brought out the yellow of his feathers. Who was he to question her? She had such a better fashion taste than him.]

[If it weren’t for her, CLUSTER would bet his entire fortune he’d still be running around in flip-flops and ratty t-shirts.]

“Sim, Ducky, bet the DUCKLINGS are tired of seeing their Papai in the same old digs.”

[He added with a snort, checking his watch - the sunlight catching the silver and reflecting the glimmer onto the nearby wall. CLUSTER hummed, wrapping his arms- no- wings? Around DYLAN in a loose embrace.]

[ Dylan laughed as Cluster wrapped his arm-wings around her. Shaking her head. ]

Nooo, I don’t think you’d be a complete clusterfuck without me. I think it’s cute that you’re different from other kingpins - more relaxed. I mean, I think it’s cute how you just wear whatever feels right. T-shirts and flipflops are adorable !

[ She paused, smiling softly and glancing at him. ]

And for the record, you’re my clusterfuck.

[ Her smile widened, as she placed another kiss on his adorable head. ]
