Yesterday at work I managed to get a drip into a young child who had been traumatised by the same procedure at another hospital without a) him noticing b) him getting distressed. This kid was totally happy and laughing with his parents 2 minutes later. His parents thanked me and said I was a good doctor. But my brain immediately after was like “you did something wrong” WHAT what. can I help you. what do you want oh my god 

Trying to build self esteem is wild. I have a societally “”well regarded”” job that I’m pretty good at, I have a group of close friends who tell me they love me, I managed to move interstate despite a shitload of stress and I keep myself & my cat alive even when I’m unwell. But, my brain will still be like “you’re bad” WHAT DO YOU WANT BITCH what could your possible issue be holy shit
