It  took  him  a  lot  to  trust  someone, and  that  was  evident  after  he  showed  Alex  where  he  grew  up.  The  mansion  was  far  from  forgotten  despite  the  foliage  that  took  over  the  property.  But  in  this  moment,  those  memories  were  far  from  his  mind.  Here  he  was  safe  in  his  lover's  arms. The  least  he  could  do  was  repay  him  by  showing  Alex  how  he  truly  felt.  There  was  no  expressing  them.  He  couldn't  find  the  exact  words.  But  he  hoped  his  actions  showed  just  like  how  his  body  thumped  against  Alex's  as  he  leaned  over  him. Nothing  mattered,  only  his  release.  The  mounting  pressure  from  Alex's  legs  wrapped  around  him  was  almost  too  much  for  him.  "Fuck."  His  breath  came  out  haggard  as  he  kept  up  the  pace.  This  was  the  man  he  loved.  And  he  would  do  about  anything  for  him.  Even  if  it  meant  pushing  him  past  his  own  brink.

He  rushed  into  the  bathroom  as  quickly  as  he  could.  Nicholas  shut  the  door  hard  and  put  his  hands  on  the  counter.  Trying  to  focus  on  his  breathing  to  calm  himself  down,  he  looked  in  the  mirror.  There  was  no  way  he  could  think  about  his  best  friend  like  this.  And  he  had  no  idea  if  she  felt  the  same  way.  His  head  reeled  as  he  pulled  his  hands  off  the  counter  and  forced  himself  to  run  the  water.  This  was  what  she  did  to  him  constantly—  got  him  completely  riled  up.  Most  of  the  time,  he  had  a  better  hold  of  it.  But  now,  her  being  this  close  set  him  off. Splashing  his  face  repeatedly  with  cold  water,  he  counted  back  from  ten.  "Get  a  hold  of  yourself,  mate."  He  muttered  under  his  breath.  After  he  turned  the  faucet  off,  he  heard  Chrissy  speaking.  "Should  what?"  Nick  said  it  loud  enough  through  the  door  while  yanking  the  small  towel  off  the  bar.  Seriously,  Nicholas...  she  would  never  go  for  you.  It's  all  in  your  head.  But  the  moment  of  her  calling  him  beautiful  stood  out.  The  small  touches,  the  closeness,  all  of  it.  It  wasn't  normal  for  friends  to  be  like  this.  One  day,  he'd  need  to  just  admit  how  he  felt.  That  day  was  not  today.  After  putting  the  towel  back,  he  checked  his  reflection  before  opening  the  door.  "Sorry  about  that.  How  long  did  it  say?"
