I’m just thinking about how Wylan is a rich mercher in Ketterdam with the biggest fleet of ships and Kaz is a Barrel boss and about all the little ways they’re going to not screw each other over for… reasons™. like Wylan turning a blind eye to Kaz using his ships to smuggle in supplies and also sending Kaz subtle warnings when the Merchant Council are going to raid the Barrel, and Kaz never robbing Wylan too badly and robbing his rivals so much worse.
