I'm back, everything's unprivated, and I'm probably staying here for the time being.
That being said! I definitely want to keep backups places so its not a mad struggle to try to get all my friends when this inevitably happens again! so!
Places you can find me:
Discord: mutuals can dm!
Bluesky. I think I hate this website more than anything but its the most stable. Also people are actually here, which gives it an edge over the next two sites
Noterook: Has Tumblr features and is channeling Cohost's old "jank and poorly put together, but nonetheless charming" energy. In an ideal world my #1 choice for a Tumblr backup. I don't want to go back to lonely websites with few ways of interaction and character limits. Not having comments or any other way to chat on a post without adding it to your blog sucks really really bad though. And from a design perspective I'm not really sure what good if anything even comes from the whole "peer to peer decentralized socmed" stuff. Given that it still super does need the central server to do literally anything at all. Whatever. As far as I know, the only real Tumblr alternative in functionality in terms of properly adding to posts and being able to send asks.
Pillowfort: Proper blogging website. Works fine enough I guess. Kinda lonely but works 100000x better than Bluesky for my purposes.
and if you're seeing me for the first time (since I guess this is gonna be my pinned): hi! I'm chloe!! (the lowercase c is important!!) I'm a little raven that is using the computer. I write about things. those things are often indie rpgs, but just as often whatever the hell I'm doing at any given time. I like to say a lot of words. saying a lot of words is my favorite thing. listen to me say a lot of words maybe?
