Hi! It's me, tumblr user DunsparceAppreciator (AKA Stiernris) and big Paul fan. To be honest, I'm really nervous to post this! I hope nobody takes this work to mean I have anything against people who ship Paul. This is purely a derivative work based on my own headcanons. The origin of said headcanon is a little underwhelming (looked at Paul and though "if I used all of the colors in his outfit, I can make the ace flag"), but I haven't seen any works exploring this particular headcanon—so I made one!

Why is it titled "Aromantic"? I wanted the title to be a pun on "a romantic" (as in a person who is romantic), which is the opposite of what Paul is.

Why do I say it's about Paul being aroace even though I drew the asexual flag? Again, my headcanon is that Sinnoh is adjacent to Japan, so I went with the commonly understood definition of アセクシャル(asexual) in japanese, which is what we would call "aroace". "Asexual" as we understand it is ノンセクシャル(nonsexual) in japanese. Don't take my word for it though. Anyway, that's a really longwinded way of saying my headcanon is that Paul is aroace, but he calls himself asexual.

Why the heck is it read from left to right? The manuscript was in english, so that's a good question. I don't know. I just felt like drawing it like that...
