Last time they were in the finals was 49 years ago. They’ve been fighting for almost half a century to have that opportunity again. This season they started dead last. They were told they wouldn’t make it anywhere this year. They were the underdogs that nobody expected to win. Not only did they make it to the finals, but in game 2 they got their first final win in history. It was more than they’ve ever gotten before. People still expected the Bruins to beat them. Games 4 and 5 were won by the underdogs. Bruins tied it in 6. Nobody thought it would go to game 7. A lot of Blues fans would have been okay if we didn’t win tonight. We were just proud that they made it to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. They defied all expectations. They proved everyone wrong. They’ve been waiting longer than any other team to win the Cup. They fought so hard that they completely earned the cup. I’m so proud of our boys, and I’m never gonna stop being a fan
