I'd say Ayano is aware his lack of social interest is a big disadvantage but he does still care AT SOME DEGREE for his people and that he can be quite tender with her when no one's looking... in his way?

As for Itachi, he gets a bit on short-circuit by the fact that she is so direct with him, since she isn't exactly subtle when expressing her feelings for him (he likes her boldness).

If we cherry pick canon, Itachi projects onto victims who don't fight back, labelling them as weak. While Osoro dislikes violence but constantly uses it to their advantage, likely views it as the only way "out".

They're so similar but also vastly different in the way they handle their trauma and their upbringing. Theres a lot of anger within them, Itachi puts it in sports while Osoro uses it to keep themself safe. (I kinda feel like a few coach and respective sport clubs have attempted to recruit Osoro during middle school)

The dynamic can vary between if Osoro is a woman or a man. Idk why but I feel theirs a lot less talking if it's male Osoro, but fights are more likely to happen out of the blue. Fem Osoro there would be a lot more arguments and confrotation, and less physical fights (simply bc the team is more prepared to prevent it bc they actually see it coming)

Bc of that I kinda wanna see them segregated from the group and watching their respective group from afar and having a quiet talk, no fighting, no yelling, no competition. Just that moment of silent philosophy usually seen in those movies lol

All this to say Itachi + all the blondes (including Asu) who haunt his life (cue nightmare about Ayano dying her hair blonde)

I like the Osoro-kun and Osoro-chan difference, these men really cannot hold on convos for too long and they will banter each other when the chance comes... that's why Itachi-chan would get along WAY BETTER with Osoro-chan, unlike whatever dynamics Itachi would get with Osoro (both counterparts), Itsuko and Osoro have experiences that resonate with each other; they don't consider each other friends and fights will obviously come, they have more reasons to have sympathy for each other's situation.

So far I LOVE that Itachi is more of a guide and Osoro is more of a protector, though yknow both have both sides of that, pretty much like a ying yang kinda thing! You can't have one if the other isn't there, they have to coexist :)
