Chaotic

i see the ruins of collapsed coliseums, of tainted dreams, of pained pictures, of cracked concrete, of dead-end roads, imprinted by the mark of brimstone. i see fire in the distance, engulfing the blue hues with harsh tones of red, the shades of doomsday dancing on the shared sky. i see monstrous shadows, creeping up in every corner, watching my every step, waiting for the perfect strike, finding my weaknesses. i see the mass of smoke approaching me gradually, a darkness wanting to devour me and be its unfortunate inhabitant, a dark grey entity awaiting to blind me, suffocate me, to see me suffer under its control. i see no one in sight, alone in the middle of it all, voiceless screams coming out of my mouth. i see my worst fears materialized, mockingly thrown in my face, in this version of hell i made.

I couldn’t find a home in your arms for they never embraced me. But I did find a home in the curve of your smile, the soothing sound of your voice, and the pacifying look in your eyes. I found a home in the outskirts of town, a neglected area where withered flowers danced. Very few lingered, but those who did, built a home for themselves, a home where lovelorn clouds cried and broken hearts shattered…but it was a home still.
