Is something burning? All back burners are in use. Thoughts burnt to a crisp.

Possibilities. Trying to not be frightened By all my unknowns.

Coming spring fake out Just barely warm for a day Oh please won’t you stay?

Sniffles and sneezes Here with yet another cold Ending winter strong.

Building potential The last gray muffles the street. Monochrome for now.

To accept some truth. To hear my voice I ignored. To gently listen.

So many requests From all different directions No time for it all.

Mind flounders for words Loss of what I want to say Blank, helpless flailing.

Though beyond control Thank you for existing here In this time, with me.

That's a valid point, We don’t need to produce work To prove we exist.

Find ways to create It doesn’t matter how small Show the world your light.

Gloom on this gray day Looms inside the city line Colorless and still.

Rose red on the cheeks Left by the kiss of the wind. Blushing from the rush.

Train is arriving. The air jumps out of the way. A gust and a screech.

Late for work again. Physically here and on time But mentally late.

Another tough day After a string of rough weeks Let’s try tomorrow.
