I wrote a blog, trying to get into this. This is some of my first ones, so practice makes perfect!

So I just did the lv95 leather worker class quest in DT and for once I didn’t skip a particular cutscene and it was the one where they were talking about the alphabet of tural. So someone’s great-grandfather created a simpler version of a turali alphabet one that would bring a common singular tone to the country and the dawnservent said no because he wanted everyone to have their own thing?????

Now I get having cultural words or phrases, heck look at Japan, China and other Asian cultures they have symbols! But in some weird way English (strangely) became like a base for most people to understand. Now, I kinda understand what he was getting at but it just felt oddly worded, like why wouldn’t you want to have a set or basic alphabet that everyone would understand??? You took all of Tural and put it together in a single place but everyone just speaks different languages???

So this is the Tower of Babel all over again????? It just felt funny also I love how the dawnservents ONLY solution to fixing problems is “send them on a journey!” Like what if that person went on a journey and said “this is why we need a common basic tongue I can’t understand these people and if I want to I have to become a linguist”

Now…I’ve found fan fic with said boys and the WOL and I rather enjoyed it…is that weird!? I don’t really have a fetish for that kind of thing but I just love those characters and see it like I would any other character I would read about….just it’s lizard with human (or whatever type of race the WOL is)

SO I am trying something new in FFXIV, I created an FC that is like a rotating FC where people can come and go as they please. Like a halfway house or a waiting room, sometimes people want an FC that's still active but can leave at any time when the rest of their friends or FC mates come back.

Thus was the Bun Bun Brigade born! I have a similar situation happening to me, my FC that I was a part of grew quiet and not active so to give myself something to do I created my own, 1. so that the FC invite spammers would stop sending me invites and 2. so I could have something to work on, like crafting cool things, airships and of course having another house to decorate (oh how I love it so!)

So if you are in Adamantoise and you are looking for a new start, or returning to the game and no FC, or FC shopping but don't want to commit yet, come on by and check in to the Bun Bun Brigade!

If I don’t get this off my chest I might explode. How can someone do everything right and still get f’ed. I soooo desperately need a job, just a job asap, cause in about a month I might lose my house.

I have a BA degree, 8 years of marketing experience, I have 5 years of animation work, I’ve written and published a book. I’ve made 3 games for a minor league baseball team to play during innings. I’ve also worked with the Chicago unions and had a video I edited up on the solider field Jumbotron during a Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton concert for the department of defense warriors games closing ceremony, I’ve got a certificate in character design for CG Spectrum.

I saved up money to buy my own house by myself when I was in my late twenties, got married to someone I dated for 4 years, graduated high school, never drank, never did drugs, never smoked, I have black belt in taekwondo and I’m so mentally exhausted for everything.

I am not perfect, but I work hard, I keep trying to teach myself how to do things so I don’t fall behind, I literally taught myself how to draw, taught myself how to use blender, mudbox, now I went to school for digital animation so I had lots of classes in maya but I learned 3DS max on my own.

I learned the entire adobe suite on my own, I have been a lead for a small animation group, I’ve learned how to produce videos, edit them and do just about everything you would on a production set.

I’m so tired of just getting passed by because no one wants to take a chance…to try and train me. I just want to work, it’s not that I don’t…I’ve been trying to get into the animation/entertainment industry for 8+ years now, I’ve gone to siggraph, I’ve done networking events, I’ve had lunches, I’ve LinkedIn with these people and then poof! I even had a mentorship with someone from Dreamworks and she pretty much ghosted me…I was working on stuff and she never responded.

I’m just so tired….
