We've been cycling for over a month now. We're currently on Amami Island, waiting for two typhoons, numbers 7 and 8.

Cycling Japan Around in 88 Days. #2. We've covered the first 500 km in Japan and are now waiting out Typhoon Yangmi in a love hotel..., but for now, about the past... 88-Day Bike Trip Across Japan! #1. We visited Hisako's parents and are currently staying with them for a week, 50 km outside of Tokyo. We bought a bike for me today and will buy one for Hisako tomorrow at another second-hand bike store. Mine cost 220 euros, but it's a practically new Cannondale Quick, and of course, it has high-end Shimano components. We were considering getting something cheaper, but decided to get really good ones. After the finish, we can get half the price back at the same store, sell it on a marketplace with virtually no loss, or just leave it with my sister until the next trip.
Tomorrow my Japanese wife, Hisako, and I are flying to her homeland. We want to bike around Japan!
We are going to visit her Mom and Dad, her sister and brother, and friends she hasn't seen for 10 years! Because of the coronavirus, she couldn't go, then they visited her, and only now have we finally gathered to go to them!
