The value of a REAL human connection, in my opinion, is higher then ever. I'm old enough to remember the days of sitting by house phones, waiting for that friend to call and to make a plan with voices. To make friends by being with that person, and knowing them through their actions and memories you made with them. We still do this, but when someone is just a text away, it's easy to get caught up and know they're just a brief phone text message away from being summoned.

If this comes off as a criticism, so be it, but I value knowing the difference between those connections you kept by memorizing a home phone number. It's not a matter of better or worse, just an observation that I cherish.
