Recently saw an anti daemon post (show daemon, mind) complaining and bashing him about hating his first wife, Rhea Royce, and the op said "if he hated her/thought her ugly he shouldn't have married her"

Daemon wasn't given the choice of saying yes or no. Alysanne, the queen, literally told him he'd be marrying her and he had no choice but to OBEY his QUEEN and several times asked Viserys to annul the mutually hated (by rhea and daemon) marriage, but was REFUSED.
Also, he never killed her. Idk where the shitshow runners got the idea he killed her. He was literally in the stepstones with witnesses when she fell off her horse, hit her head, and LINGERED ALIVE AND CONSCIOUS (long enough to implicate daemon or anyone else) before she got up and died of a aneurysm.
Daemon insulted Rhea, yes. Was it nice? No. Do I blame him for insulting the woman he was forced to marry at 16? No.
If you can look at show!alicent and use your modern mind to call her a childbride, then apply that same logic to Daemon because the only difference between them is that alicent was 15 when she was forced to marry viserys, and daemon was 16 when forced to marry rhea royce.
Just because daemon is a man doesn't eliminate the fact that he was forced into a marriage against his will when he was sixteen and turned all his anger and resentment onto the person he was shackled to, rather than the woman (alysanne) who forced him into it.
