Forever mad about how SPECTRE told us Madeleine was this super smart woman who had a doctorate and all this experience as a psychologist working at the best most elite places in the world, and then failed to SHOW her being a skilled therapist.
So I am retreating to the comfort of my own headcanon wherein she signs on to work at MI6 after the events of SPECTRE, and she and Q become besties who bond over being former child prodigies who advanced through their education super-fast and got a doctorate at a young age and a plum position with a great employer, but had to fight for respect and acceptance at every rung of the ladder. 🤝 They're smart, but often don't get taken seriously because they're too young/female/queer/whatever. 🤝 And they are now ride-or-die for each other. 🤝
I want Q and Madeleine meeting up for lunch dates to discuss Smart People Things and helping each other edit their latest articles for academic journals or practicing on each other for speeches they need to give in front of a committee! I want them having Very Intense Opinions on controversial subjects on their field! I want them having Longstanding Beef with academic rivals in their field and cattily talking shit about their Rivals during their private lunches!
And of course, just as critically, I want being Bond utterly distraught that these two have a whole entire relationship where they talk about things that Aren't Related To Him. Bond feels uncomfortable when we are not about him????
