Ok, so here is a picture of a cat, hopefully that is not offensive to anyone, i guess if i want to do any art that includes nudity i have to become a sculptor now or what? Because nudity is for “adults”? Right? Teach the kids that our bodies are something to be ashamed of and this is how we get here and this is why the society is as fucked as it is. Teach the people to hide their uniqeness and don’t feel comfortable with themselves and it is easier to teach them how to hate anything that is different to them. It is not just here on large corporate owned social media where it is evident that nudity is ok if it sells product and keeps the image of boring perfect western culture-centric bodies the only desirable norm.

Here where i live we had a long tradition of nudism/naturism, with a lot of beaches and resorts. In the last 25 years there has been a lot of effort to shut it all down, and replace it with content that is more “civilised” like concrete beaches where you pay for lying down and have a lot of area where you can advertise things. When you are naked, you feel free,  capitalism does’t want that, That’s why it is “normal” to go in to the sea in your clothes, right? That’s why it is illegal to be naked.

So it is completely understandable that tumblr went into heavy censoring while at the same time being very (superficialy) vocal about accepting and celebrating different communities and struggles. This is just how capitalism works. And of course it was not the ban on porn that was important here. Censorship is never about one single issue, it is about taking power and control of making anybody who desn’t fit inside your system an enemy and undesirable. In the first few days i heard that leftist and anarchist blogs got erased also, again, not suprising. I am not very active nor do i consider myself part of the tumblr “community” so i don’t have much info about who else is affected but i’m sure a lot of people are while at the same time i get pestered with shitty scam porn accounts and nazi/right wing sites are abundant and untouched.
