it's always better fought than won

They frowned at being recognized, but supposed it was bound to happen. "Y-yeah, that's me. I thought I recognized you too, you're Gail." Gail had a nice presence to her, and the hug was definitely appreciated. Antares thought about it, and decided that this was a dependable person, someone that they could trust. They hoped that someday this person would consider them a friend, too. But, other things had to be dealt with now.

"W-what? Really?" Their hands began to tremble a little bit. They'd been caught before. Not a single person is ever really kind about having their stuff stolen, but Gail... Gail was clearly different. Is this because of the mutual understanding Gail and Antares both had about the nature of demons? Whatever it was, Anty was thankful, nearly to the point of tears.

"I-I-" Antares couldn't think. There was nothing they could say. They'd been caught and there was certainly going to be punishment down the road if Raum heard of this whatsoever. They had failed. The only way they could fix this would be through a fight, but this entire time they had been preaching about how they didn't want to fight.

Antares had gotten quite a distance away before they felt something painfully wrap around their ankle, causing them to fall. They tried to use their body as a cushion so that anything in the bag didn't get damaged. On the ground, they pushed the bag away, and sat themself back up just to see a whip around their ankle.

A familiar face on a bench caught the attention of a hooded figure. Not quite remembering in the moment where they'd seen her before, they made a split second decision that this was their new target. She didn't seem too threatening, but there's always something she could be hiding, they considered. They cut through the crowd, being ever so careful to not stand out, and made their way closer to the bench.
