Why are you so salty about this? It doesn’t concern you.

It concerned my ward, and thus concerns me. Your behaviour is vile, and you will end up working your ward to death. You will not find success from pushing her so hard or forcing her to do your dirty work simply because you will not control your temper. You are the only one of us who sees to lack that much self control. It’s embarrassing. 

If I remember correctly, you are the one who instigated the joke itself with your sarcasm. Being polite and respectful is not one sided, you know.

That is only the case if both parties are inherently worthy of respect.

I’m not obligated to “take a joke.” They should learn to be polite and respectful to those who are their superiors.

They were having fun at my expense. Nobody will ever respect me if I lie down and take it when people are disrespectful. I would think that you’d understand this, but perhaps I overestimated you.

I’m sure any response at all must seem out of line in the eyes of one who has grown weak and soft-hearted with old age. I’m not saying anything, but I’m just saying. Maybe you haven’t adapted as well as you think you have.

I am not “salty.” I just respect myself enough not to take nonsense from mere humans without a reasonable response of force.
